GAY!!!! This will not help his MMA career and to me is just a way to lean more on his striking (hands) to continue his paydays. I think the guy should take some time to enhance his ground game, and then utilize it to GNP his way to some significant fights. (And I'm and AA fan!)

Gay? Really? Come on dude. It's not like he's assfucking another dude. They're still punching each other in the face. Yeah buddy, super gay.

I'm not sure all of you have a complete grip on the differences between the pay in boxing and mma. Mma a top fighter might get paid at most 250K for a fight with a "maybe" bonus.

Pavlik will get 2.5 million for his next fight. Pavlik. Pavlik is the equivalent of a BJ Penn type draw in MMA. He's not the biggest draw even in his own weight class but he's a good draw and may be the most talented in his immediate weight class. No matter what show Pavlik puts on he'll be overshadowed by Calzaghe v. RJJ---but he STILL WILL MAKE 2.5 MILLION Dollars.

Boxing is boring? MMA fighters don't want to box? You're out of your mind if you thi nk that. Guys wish they could be good draws for boxing so that they can make even more money.

if any mma fighter were to make it big in boxing it would be arlovski. throw in freddie roach and pop him in a weak division.

i hope it works out good for him, he could make a lot more money and the bigger gloves might make it easiar for him to cover his chin

I was a boxing fan for years before I found MMA. Now to me, going back to watching boxing is like going from crazy hot internet porn back to Penthouse. I fall asleep in both cases.

Sig worthy dude.

Seems now boxing wants to draw some attention by having an MMA fighter compete. Oh how the worm has turned.

I'd venture to say Boxing gives a rats cock about AA. I think it's more AA looking for another stage to showcase his skills (and collect a check) just in case the rest of his MMA career doesn't pan out as it should.

Just a hunch

how have i not already heard about this?

Wasn't it in the works since he started training with Freddie Roach? The state the HW devision of boxing as well as MMA I seriously wouldn't be surprised if he captures a belt in the next few years.

WAR AA

I think this is great! Especially with legendary boxing trainer Freddie Roach in his corner. He's always had fast. powerful hands and at Heavyweight in boxing, I think he could EASILY unify all the titles.

Great news.

Sorry, but there is absolutely no way Arlovski could ever win one major belt in the Heavyweight division, let alone four. I think mma fans underestimate the skills of boxers when the topic of an mma practitioner fighting one comes up

I might agree with you but alot of E U guys started with boxing so it's not foreign to them. It doesn't even matter though, if he can get enough publicity and be good enough to TRY for a title, then he can make well over 1 million for 1 fight---something no UFC or mma fighter is currently doing.
