That's what it sounds like according to F4WOnline's Dave Meltzer. He reports that UFC 89 will air free on Spike TV and be followed by a major PPV one week later.

If this is true, which I thought to be the case the first time I heard about the main event. Then this is going to be a really good free event. The Bisping vs. Leben fight will not only be a slugfest it will probably compete for Fight of the Year. Although I'll probably be routing for Leben, Bisping is going to win this thing.

I hope this is true, it's a great card for TV, not so much for a PPV main event and co-main event.
I really hope it airs on TV, but even if it didn't I'd order it

Is Bisping ever going to fight in the states agian? Maybe next they will have GSP only fight in Canada. Its like the UFC is going to make sure that guy has all the cards in his corner everyfight, and if that isn't enough then he will have the judges too. I don't know why but i just don't like that guy.

i have heard this how many times now that events will be free on spike and then they are not, so until i see it on ufc.com or see a video of dana saying it then i will not believe it

Two sick fights that could go either way since in both fights you pretty much know what the fighters game plans are but know they won't be lacking if it went to were they didn't want to go.
I'm lovin' it, hopefully this is the case!!!
