Ok recently it was announced Ken Shamrock just put together a Pro team in AZ..

What exactly qualifies a Pro team in MMA and what typically are they put together to acomplish.. and besides more exposure what is in it for the fighters typically?

And whatever else there is to know about pro team in MMA

Well I think it's a pretty broad term.

My gym has a pro team. They're all sponsored by a pretty wealthy and successful company that is known around the world. This "Pro Team" works out together and competes in professional MMA events around the world. They're the face of the gym and our highest caliber of athletes at the gym.

In the case of the new Lion's den Edwin Dewees and Joe Riggs both are trainers there and I'm sure several other guys. Although I haven't been there yet I'm sure their ultimate goal is to build up a lot of local guys from their school to go out and compete.
