Speculation within the MMA industry suggests that Gary Shaw's days at ProElite may be numbered. Rumors suggest that Shaw may be out by the end of the summer, possibly soon after the July 26 CBS event. Multiple sources have told MMAPayout.com that the expected move is another example of CBS's growing influence on the company. Santa Monica Capital Partners, the largest shareholder in the company, is also believed to have taken a more active role in the company of late.

This article explains why the UFC wouldn't sign a deal with CBS.

CBS is entitled to purchase 500,000 shares of stock in the company each time it broadcasts a show on CBS

Looks like CBS is going to own ProElite soon.

I wouldn't want that morbidly obese, Jaba the Hut look-a-like, as the head of my company. Do you think he gets special made T-shirts to fit his Hut type belly?

This is barely news worthy.. except for the fact it might allow the show more life.. but it needs to get better headliners then Kimbo,,, though he is a good financial draw until he gets his ass handed to him by a real fighter.. and regardless who that is that person is going to become a household name "The Man who defeated the Great Kimbo"... Seriously.. can my first fight be against kimbo? I'd like a 6 figure contract as well...

Well it would be a start in the right direction. But there still a lot I don't like about EliteXC but hopefully it all Shaw's doing and letting him go would fix the problems But I highly doubt its all Shaw's fault. Also will they be letting his Son go as well. His son is even worse than he is.

It's about damn time. i hope whoever replaces him decides to stray away from the circus freak show angle that Shaw seems to be enamored with.

If / when he does get kicked out, i will definitely throw a huge party...everyone is invited!!
