UFC welterweight contender Karo Parisyan will look to bounce back from a controversial UFC Fight Night 13 loss to Thiago Alves and re-enter the title picture when he faces Yoshiyuki Yoshida in September.

Really good matchmaking here. In addition to putting together two guys that i think will lead to an all out war, they played the angles very well. They are making people think its a tune-up fight to put Karo back into top 10 fights but in reality, i think they are pushing Yoshida.. If Yoshida wins (as i suspect he will) theyve got a brand new contender who they can market against a guys that Karo has already fought.

There was nothing "Controversial" about Pitbull's demolishion of Karo. If Karo faught as well as he complainted he'd have taken down the belt a long time ago. You wanna be a the champ?! You better learn how to finish someone off. Karo's got the judo, thats for sure, but I'm none to convinced in his mixed martial arts. Fifteen minutes of pretty looking throws does not make a champion, and five months of wining about the title shot you never got does not sound like a champion either.

All his garbage about not wanting to fight because a loss would jeopardize his shot at a title is rediculous. Not only did Alves step in the Octogon and take him out, he accepted a fight against the greatest welterweight of all time less then two weeks later. IMO Karo has no guts at all.

As of now, I am officially on the Yoshida WAR Wagon!

I'm very excited, I will hopefully be at that event. And as most of you know Karo is my boy. Just hope he comes ready for a war, trains hard, and doesn't just rely on his skill in this fight, or he'll be in for a rough night.

Wow man...I wouldn't say "Yawn" to Karo....he puts on some great fights man!!! He just can't seem to finish them... (or win at critical times) (or develop cardio)

Karo was one of my favortie fighters forever. Loved his style, knew he wasn't gonna be ranked top 3 anytime soon but I didn't care. Ever since he embarrassed himself on the TUF episode (which I can't recall the number of the season >,<) I just can't stand the guy. He's a dick.

Yoshida by split descision.

I think i would favour Yoshida for the win here though. Most likely by a decision of some kind.
