After back-to-back losses in UFC, Ivan Salaverry has decided to call it a career. He says fighting is no longer a priority, but he also is dealing with nagging injuries plus a school and 2 kids.

That sucks.

Salaverry was one of my favorite fights at one time. He pulled off a submission I've never seen before. Don't even remmeber the name of it. He took the guys back, flattened him out, and pulled up on his arms, and down on his waist with his legs stretching out his back.

After seeing that fight I was an instant fan.

Not to mention he has a bitchin tatoo on his ribs.

I always like Ivan and for that I had a tendancy to pick him and lost out a bunch of points. For the sake of my points on the playgroud I am happy to see him call it quits. He had a few good performances in the UFC and I wish he had shown us more. Life happens.
