YOu know though.... some may say your inthe wrong section.. But I think Music can enhance your training if you choose the right type.. when needing to do long distance running or something.. which is something I truly hate... I like to get some techno mixes.. something that is a good 30 minutes or more long.. but with a steady bass line through out to keep my rythm.. I kinda just tune out to the fatigue in my body and just move ... also a good highlands style march on the bag pipes.. heck I even have a techno remix of Scotland the Brave with actual bag pipes that makes me want to beat on things...
Good heavy music when I lifting as mentioned above helps get the adreniline going...
i think music is great for taking your focus away when you need to just do something... now I really do not like music playing whneb I am sparring unless it at low volumes to just drown out background noise

I definitely agree with music enhancing the workout experience. One of the greatest techno CD's to work out to is "Vegas" by the Crystal Method.
Prodigy makes some great albums to work out to also.

There are many !!! I spent my adolescent and teen years in the early to mid 80's. Priest and AC/DC were 2 of my favorites.
