Just minutes before Tim Credeur was set to face fellow cast member Cale Yarbrough at the live finale for "The Ultimate Fighter: Team Rampage vs. Team Forrest," the bout was pulled from the fight card.

Although the move was met with initial confusion, the UFC confirmed midway through the event that Credeur had tested positive for Adderall, a psychostimulant traditionally prescribed to treat attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder and narcolepsy..

Note that Credeur faces no disciplinary action because he alerted officials of the drug beforehand.

Im trying to think of why that would be illegal. The only thing i can think of is that he used it to cut weight. Its a stimulant that can supress appetite pretty well with relatively minimal chance of addiction. Thats all i can think of.

"(The drug) acts as a cardio-vascular restrictor, and that's the main reason it's banned because it can cause athletes to have a cardiac episode with the stress they're under when they're in an athletic competition. Secondly, it can have a performance-enhancing effect as well.

thats from the full article...

i dont understand what the hell it enhances. I have ADD(Diagnosed) even thought i dont take meds at the time. I took aderal and riddaline if anything it calms you dont and helps you focus. If it's because of the focus factor that is lame. If he is perscribed then they shouldn't be able to do anything. Lance Armstrong was perscribed STEROIDS for his Cancer and they couldn't say shit. Oh well i guess , really didnt care about the fight anyways.

If you need it, Adderal will calm you down. If you DON'T need it, it acts as a speeder.

Still they cleared him to fight ahead of time knowing full well he was taking it then tells him fight night you cant fight because it in your system still. (You knew he was taking this and told him to stop it this amount of time before the event and he did but because it hasn't totally cleared his system you canning the fight. I don't know man sounds a little messed up you ask me. I understand safety first but still canning it fight night is wrong.

Dude the guy had.......CANCER its alot different than ADD. Show some respect, Armstrong battled something that many people die from. I know what you meant by it, it could have been an unfair advantage but think of a classier way to state it.

They told him to stop taking it 5 days before the fight, They thought it would be out of his system by the time the he was going to fight....turns out it wasnt completely out, so now the cant clear the fight, because if something happened to him because of that , guess who is getting sued.

Especially when you crush it up so that there is no time-release.

Or just get it wet by putting it in your mouth for a second and then wiping it off with a Kleenex.

I read that somewhere.
