That quote comes from Ricardo Almeida, scheduled to face Patrick Cote at UFC 86. He seems to think it'll be the classic grappler vs. striker type of fight that own't go the distance.

Almeida is possibly one of the most underrated fighters in the UFC. I don't know why this fight isn't getting more publicity. It's not like it's Forrest Griffin vs. Hector Ramirez...this is a solid co-feature.

I'm really pulling for Cote in this fight, but he hasn't faired to well against grapplers in the past.....He better be working his Jits all day long....

Almeida is correct. Either he is getting Koed in the first or Côté is getting subbed in the first

Almeida is gonna take cote down, than Cote is going to try and scramble back to the feet, and he gets caught in a guillotine choke when getting up.

Whenever fighters say it's not going 3 rounds, the majority of the time it does end up going the distance. Nobody thought Burkman vs. Swick would be 3 rounds or Jardine vs. Liddell

Almeida is a stand up guy. Cool to see that he didnt want to talk about what could happen if he beats cote cause he didnt want to look past his opponent. Class act!
