What are your thoughts on your fight with Frank Mir?

I was really disappointed in my performance against Frank, I rushed the Frank, and I’ve just got to take one fight at a time and learn from it. Every fight is a different fight and you have to prepare a little different.

How have you adapted your wrestling for MMA?

I feel pretty natural; I don’t have a problem fighting off my back.

What’s your training like right now?

We mix it up, every other day it’s something different. Heath is great with his leg kicks and is a pretty decent striker…It’s no secret he’s a wrestler and he’s a brawler so it’s going to be a good fight.

Who are you training with?

Minnesota martial arts academy with Greg Nelson. I’m brining a lot of people in. I had a curveball thrown, I was supposed to be fighting Mark Coleman and then the pin got pulled on that. I’m brining in a handful of other guys, I’m bringing in a heavyweight blackbelt world champion, working on everything to raise my game.

How does it feel to be fighting in Minnesota?

This is awesome for me to fight in my backyard and this my second fight for the company, and there’s a lot of guys who have been fighting for the company that don’t get this kind of chance. But in the end it’s a business decision and it wasn’t my decision, it was the company’s decision. It’s good for me, I don’t have to get on the airline, I get to sleep in my bed, get to fight in the great state of Minnesota and fight in front of all my fans here.
