Wow and this guy runs an MMA Organization...
Jay Larkin surveys the inaction with a weary, seen-it-all expression. "This isn't my idea of fighting," he says of the world's fastest-growing spectator sport. "To me, two guys rolling around on the floor is tedious, like watching gay foreplay."
That's not the sort of assessment you'd expect from the I.F.L.'s chief executive, but Larkin, who ran Showtime's boxing division for 25 years, is nothing if not brutally honest. He'll have to be brutal to keep his publicly traded startup—which has plowed through more than $30 million in the last year and a half—from going down for the count.
On Tuesday, Larkin announced the cancellation of the league's August 15 event at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Bereft of fans, funds, sponsors, and marketable personalities, the fight promotion seems to be rapidly imploding. "Trying to revive this company is like doing open-heart surgery," concedes Larkin. "We're going to stick around as long as we possibly can."

That guy is a duchebag. Typical boxing guy. Maybe the IFLs problem is that they put someone in charge who thinks groundfighting is gay foreplay. I guess al those wrestlers across the nation are all gay in this guys mind. If some of these figures were in the political arena the reporters covering them would never let them get away with the statements they make. When will one knowledgeable MMA reporter finally step up and calls these guys on there bullshit.

i don't mind if people tell me they don't like the ground fighting, cause most people i know don't. but when leaders of mma organizations say ignorant stuff like this, it pisses me off. some body please choke this asshole out

no wonder the company is fialing it is being run buy a guy who does not understand his own product... I say good riddence and hope the fighters find a better home elsewhere with people who appreiciate thier skills.

Cut and paste is fun.
With that kind of attitude IFL can do nothing but fail.
I loathe Dana but at least he is a fan that understands the sport.
