So whats the deal with the PRIDE belt..I know the Rampage Vs Dan fight supposedly unified the belts and Anderson and Dan fight unified the MW i thought.

Guess the PRIDE HW Belt is secure on Fedors' Mantle.

There's a LOT of history in that Affliction belt. Just ask the previous owners of it ... "Hello? Anybody? Bueller? Ferris Bueller?"
Maybe thier belt will be a t-shirt with a cool belt graphic at the bottom of the shirt - kinda like those tuxedo shirts

So if Sylvia wins does that mean Big Nog is the # 1 ranked HW?

I would have no problem with ranking Nog 1. I however will need to see Fedor lose more than once to really move him down my own rankings.

I wonder if having a HW title fight for the first event is a good thing? No argument from me that they are the top two HW in Affliction right now. Does this set up (if they win) Barnett vs Arlovski for the #1 contender fight down the road? Does the winner of Babalu/Whitehead take on the winner of Lil Nog/White for the LHW belt? I like that they are establishing champions early. It give them a face for each weight class. I don't like how the IFL took a while to do this.

I'm not sure if I like the belt idea yet or not. It's pretty clear that if you were going to have a title fight for your promotion, then Big Tim vs Fedor is a great place to start. I think this would be a little more relavent if it was say Affliction's 3rd or 4th card; the attendance/PPV's were good, and the stable of fighters was growing.

Right now, I'm not sure they have any fighters under contract who are not a part of the "banned" card. If the promotion does not continue to grow, then the belts won't mean anything. If you ask me, it's a pretty mixed bag here. And I guess when you boil it right down, maybe they are getting a little ahead of themselves.

Time will tell. Best of luck to them.

LOL at it making any difference to us if they win a belt at the end ............... the only thing is making it 5 rounds instead of 3 rds which is needed
