Its an interesting time for America and the result effects everyone around the world.

The government in the UK is just the same. No matter who is in power it is always those in power who feed of the less fortunate. The rich get richer. Corruption is rife within democracy.

I am kind of worried about Obama winning as he seems to have links with some fanatical people if you know what I mean.

People need to start voting for third party candidates so that these other parties start getting funding from the government to pay for political campaigns. The Democrats and Republicans are practically mirror images of each other at this point, pivoting around issues and politicizing issues of morality. Vote third party whenever possible. Take the power back, and eat the rich.

John McCain's Fanatical Pastor....Nuff said. 100 more years in Iraq, no thanks McCain! The majority of Americans are not happy with the way things are going and yet people are still thinking of voting for McCain who is more of the same.

I didint answer the poll cause i can't vote... for obvious reasons lol... but i'm having trouble reading the posters who say ah why vote, f*ck voting, even if i could i wouldn't? sure it's ok to feel that way, but to actually not vote on vote day basically eliminates the fact that your proud of being American. Your also in other words saying "i don't give a shit who runs my country" wich when you think about it is kinda messed up. I always said, if you can't beat em' , join em'...and believe me when i say this fellow Americans, you cannot beat em'. Just vote

just because you don't vote doesn't mean your not a proud american. i love this country, i just don't like either of the candidates. i also don't really agree with the two party system. my parents don't even pay attention to the election, they just vote republican. the two party system limits everybody's ability to think for themselves. however, i suppose it can be better to vote for the person who would screw the country up less than to not vote at all

Parties are kinda necessary if you ask me. Though they can cause a whole bunch of crap and arguing in washington, they provide a group working toward a certain goal. The problem is many people think that ruins unity between the two. I believe that I can vote for a party that believes in less government interference and at the same time that candidate can work together with the opposing side if they are willing. Many times McCain has worked with the other side and thats prob why he has been flamed by the party but I think it shows he could help unite the country somewhat. Obama has been shown as the most liberal in the Senate and this is his first term. I doubt he will care about the other sides opinions at all just as Pelosi and will play a stupid game of who controls what between parties.

Obama flames people for taking what he says out of context yet he continues to say that BS line "100 year war." McCain was talking about how troops will continue to be in Iraq even after the war just as they are in Korea and even Germany. But I guess Its allowed when your the other side

EDIT- I think he is talking about more than Pastor Wright. Obama's campaign has been funded by some crazy guys in the middle east not to mention his ties with William Air who bombed a police department and said he wished he did more.

Regardless, I still think it's crazy that McCain's pastor hardly got any air time while the whole Wright thing was all over the news.

Fox news still occasionally plays that clip.

I still dont understand why something as serious as the election of a leader of a nation has to be sensationalized to make news. Most of the petty crap is taken out of context anyway IMO.

this isnt just about obama either, same with mccain although there has been significantly less on his side. I attribute that to him not having a "hilary" reminding everyone of the petty things though... as opposed to favoritism.

When i look at the issues and the plans each have... i am clearly on obama's side here.
I mean shit, mccain wants to give us a gas-tax free holiday... it sounds good but people forget about the day after(and possibly the day after that) where gas prices will rise enough to even out the break you got on the holiday. The only difference being the profit will go to the gas company's and not the government(which leads back into the country).

Just proposing a plan as silly as this makes me not really consider anything mccain says seriously.

^ Yeah, both sides are guilty of taking things out of context. Everything is spun to a certain extent. I hate politics...

Also, FAUX News is ridiculous. Fair and Balanced my ass. When Barack and Michelle did the fist bump, E.D. Hill said that it was a symbol of a 'terrorist fist jab". Seriously, can the people of Faux News go any lower? They have also referred to Barack's wife as his baby's mama...

I remember back in the day when they showed footage of Donald Rumsfield when he was in college doing one handed push-ups, which was followed by an exasperated reporter saying..."Wow, what a great guy!"

Why would you not vote? I'm not old enough to vote yet, but I don't understand how people can complain about the conditions in America and they want change, yet they don't vote....

For me it's not only the two party system, but the electoral college. For example, I'm from NY where it's 3-1 democrats/republicans. In my county, it's 4-1!

So if I want to vote for a Democrat, why bother, he/she is gonna win anyways. If I want to vote for a Republican, why bother, he/she has no chance.

Unless you live in a battle-ground state, your vote for president means almost nothing.

Sadly, this is very true. I wish they would just eradicate the whole electoral college and just go by the popular vote. We would not have the current idiot in office if we went by the popular vote, that's for sure.

McCain was one of the main opponents of MMA and is partially responsible for the "Dark Ages of MMA" here in the states. An endless string of wars of aggression across the globe is acceptable, but MMA is not. I don't get it.

He's too old to run a country anyway. Let alone one the stature of the USA.
