As unpopular as he might be, I think you have to consider Tim Sylvia. He was a fairly dominant champion-his only losses in title fights were to Arlovski & Couture with his only other losses in UFC to Minotauro & Mir. Yes, he might've been boring at times, but his track record and his reigns as HW Champion are kinda hard to overlook.
Tito's out as long as Dana's around, period.
Although he's still struggling a little bit in UFC, I'd say Wanderlei Silva is probably in at some point because of his PRIDE years.
DID YOU JUST SAY TIM SYLVIA

1. Tito Ortiz (6 defenses) ASSHOLE 2. Chuck Liddell (6 defenses) good guy 3. Rich Franklin (7 title defenses) popular fighter
Franklin doesn't have anything close to 7 defenses.
Yeah...
Franklin has only 2 title defenses. And Liddell has 4. And Ortiz has 5. Correct?
I'm not quite sure where this guy is getting his info.
Anyway... you can bet Liddell and Hughes will be in there as soon as they retires. I'm sure Franklin will be in there at some point too. Tito? If he can resolve some issues with White.
What about Couture???
Couture is already in the Hall of Fame
That right... my bad. I forgot he retired, was inducted, then came back, then resigned...
No big deal just pointing it out... and if BJ makes the hall of fame at this point I think I'll puke!
He's nowhere near good enough to get in, he's been so disrespectful to the sport in previous fights. I'll admit he's getting better but he needs to get a lot more big names in his win column before he gets inducted... which won't happen cause GSP will KTFO of him!

Hughes Liddell Both are 100% certainties.
Franklin BJ Both are pretty sure to be inducted when they retire.
Big Nog Wanderlei Silva Anderson Silva Rampage GSP If they either have 4/5 more UFC fights OR finish their careers in the UFC are good shots to inducted imo......

Who from this generation of top fighters is going to be in the UFC?
1. Matt Hughes (9 or 10 defenses)
I'd say based on Matt's past f domination he's a shoe in. Other guys with big title runs include:
1. Tito Ortiz (6 defenses) ASSHOLE 2. Chuck Liddell (6 defenses) good guy 3. Rich Franklin (7 title defenses) popular fighter
Guys who I believe have the potential to dominate on this level:
1. BJ Penn (Only lost to middleweights, beat Matt Hughes, current LW champ) 2. GSP (current champ, can be very dominating, needs to find consistency) 3. Rampage Jackson (current LHW Champ, dominated Chuck and Henderson) 4. Anderson Silva (current MW champ, dominated Franklin and all comers, extremely successful career prior)
What do you guys think? Did I leave anyone out? Any beef with any of these selections? Let me know.
i agree with everything, but gsp needs to get a few more belt defenses first.

I was thinking Fitch as he did tie Royce for the longest unbeaten streak in the UFC to start 8-0 That s F*cking amazing and is just now getting his title shot
Yes, i agree. I think fitch will be in there soon......but Fitch needs the big win over GSP and other top fighters to really be even considered to go to the HOF. Fitch is a good fighter though. I think he will eventually rise to those ranks.

That is amazing except he found B and C level fighters to achieve that goal. Look at Anderson Silva, he is 6-0 now in the UFC I think, he prob will break the record by beating A level guys which is already impressive with what he has done now.
Fitch needs to dominate GSP, Alves, maybe Hughes, Kos, Anthony Jonson, Marcus Davis to impress me for a HOF spot. He's a good fighter but hasn't proven much yet.
Guarenteed guys are Hughes and Liddell. It goes without saying. Franklin no. Silva, eventually yes. BJ, eventually yes.

Big John before anyone else. Chuck, Hughes. All certainties.
Gsp could one day be there, give it 3 title defences AT LEAST. He's been an awesome athlete, and he's beaten some big names, but he needs to be a true champion before you can hold him up to Hughes.
BJ, again, get in some title defences and we'll talk. Like GSP, he's bought to the sport a lot, but needs to be a true champion if there is any hope of him being HOF material.
Whoevere said Tim Sylvia should be shot. Drug cheat, boring fighter. Sure he has beaten some big names, but hasn't done anything for the sport except slow it down.
Fitch hasn't done enough yet. Sure he's won a few fights in a row, but so did Jeff Monson, and no one would consider him for HOF.
Anderson Silva will be there eventually. Maybe not when he retires straight away, but the man is the most dominant fighter to ever walk into the UFC. Period.
Should the UFC HOF really depend on what the fighter has done away from this org? Cause you can't put in Rampage or Wandy on their names alone because they made there names away from the UFC, and this is the UFC Hall of Fame we're talking about.
As for Tank, i think he should be in there. Sure he wasnt the best fighter going round, but he was the face of it back in the day, as one of the founding fathers of it as it were, he does deserve credit for that.
If Forrest Griffin can beat Rampage for the title, do you think he could possibly one day be a contender for the HOF as he would have brought something big to the org?
