I voted the second option.
As in Cote has zero chance, because he's too much of a one dimensional fighter imo

you got to like the guy loses first 4 bouts then goes on a terror, i am rooting for him next month in vegas i hope he wins, i still don't think he deserves a shot just yet, but he would lose against silva, god i hope this isn't a title shot,

Dan henderson will be the man to beat silva for the belt. if cote gets past almeida, which i think he will, then give him marquardt or franklin. but okami shoulkd have the next title shot and then henderson once he wins his next fight.

this thread title should have read: ALMEIDA, ALMEDIA ALMEIDA ALMEIDA.
Cote isn't getting past Big Dog, so the real question should be can Almeida beat The Spider if the winner is getting a title shot.
Why would Cote get a title shot after getting submitted by Almeida? There's actually people who think Cote is going to beat Big Dog? (some sarcasm)
Okami should get the next title shot though with the winner of Almeida-Cote getting the next shot.
Dan Henderson should fight Rich Franklin next.

BTW: Props to rush for using the proper grammar ( ^ , é )
Thanks
I hate it when people spell my name incorrectly so I try to return the favour, even if I've never met the guy.
French Canadians can be so anal.

I hope Cote can pull it off... I see him getting past Almieda... I've never really been impressed with Ricardo, and think that Cote learned his lesson getting subbed by Lutter...
I think Cote's got the chin and power to possibly, maybe, by some weird convergance of coincidence last more than two rounds with Anderson

He needs to get his butt to a good BJJ camp and learn some more skills on the ground. i think with his standup and chin he would be a force if he added submissions and TD defense to his game. WAR COTE

No, IMO.
I think Ricardo Almeida takes Cote down early and submits him with plenty of time left in the round.

His ground game is still suspect. He got totally manhandled by Lutter and since then, no one has tested his ground game. It would be interesting to see if he can get by Ricardo.

cote is going to win his next fight, anderson can face yushin and win, then anderson and cote can have there match. Which sadly, because i like cote, he will get knockout probably in the first or second round.

cote is one of my favourite fighters , but almeida will sub him. As far as ive seen, cote hasn't improved his take down defense or ground game. Cote vs anderson would look identical to silva vs leben. Not even the chin of cote will be able to hold off anderson's barage of muay thai.
how you can say that we not seen his ground game after lutter fight
