The International Fight League on Tuesday announced that it has canceled its planned August 15 event at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, N.J., signaling what seems to be the inevitable conclusion to the imploding fight promotion.

In a prepared statement, the IFL said that it continues to explore options for maximizing shareholder value in the publicly traded company, but if the IFL is unable to leverage any of those options, the company may seek protection from its creditors through a court proceeding, otherwise known as bankruptcy.

i was thinking same thing, i hope some fighters get to jump to the ufc,
another one bites the dust
with the big annoucement not being a tv deal, does anyone think maybe he might have landed a big name fighter or even bout another organization out

I dont think so, as long as they dont start the whole draft thing between companys like WWE started doing.

UFC needs to buy them up and scoop up all those fighters.

Maybe, If they keep the format going and run the IFL as a seperate entity.

That could work well

Hopefully, this means that we will get to see Fabiano v. Faber. It's one of the few good matches that WEC could make for him right now.
