“The way I fought (on Saturday) is the way I used to fight in England, destroying guys. I don’t think I am anywhere near the finished product but I think I can go through the majority of the middleweight division. And if I want to take on Anderson Silva I have to get on my game. I have a long hard road ahead but I am willing to make the sacrifices. I will do it. I am on a mission. I would like to be the first UK guy to hold a UFC belt.”
– Michael Bisping tells the Lancashire evening telegraph that he is gunning for UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva. “The Count” has two fights in eight weeks at 185 pounds and has looked tremendous in both bouts. He most recently defeated Jason Day at UFC 85: “Bedlam” this past weekend at the O2 Arena in London, England, via first round technical knockout.

I wasn't a fan of Bisping at 205, since that division is already stacked (in addition to his behavior after the loss to Hamill), but since the move to middleweight he's looked possessed.
But not unbeatable.... I think once he fights some top-flight middleweight contenders like Marquardt we'll see what he's really made of.

Bisping is going to run into some problems with the contenders at 185, i dont see him getting a title shot.

Since he's dropped to 185 his muscle and body look a lot leaner and tighter and not pudgy like he used to be and his mentality seems well. Another two matches against contenders is necessary but I think he can get there.

Bisbing Needs 2 Stop Fighting With British School Girls And Actually Take On Some Decent Competition....Then Maybe Ill Give Him Back Some Credibility...And Start Posting That Hes Fightin British Women Now...Instead Of School Girls

I don't doubt his fights will last longer with higher level competition, but I think he can still beat anyone in the MW division. I'm not sure about Anderson, but I do think he could get a W against Franklin or Hendo. First he'll probably go through Leben, Marquardt, Leites, Okami, or McDonald. He's handled these "cans" the same way Hendo or A. Silva would. 1st round destruction.

Once they let bisping fight someone in the top ten, even top twenty, then we will see how much he will start loosing. The guy has been looking good against guys not even ranked in the top 100....and he will beat Hendo, Franklin, Okami, lmao yeah right... He has a long way to go, let Hamill destroy him. I wish Leban would have fought him, 1st rnd KO Leban.

Sorry, but I think Hendo would outwork Bisping any day.
And when I think of "cans" I don't think about Okami/Marquardt/Leben...

Ermmm didn't Ian 'The Machine' Freeman hold the Heavyweight title for a while? That would make him the first UK guy to hold a UFC title then....
I think he can do it. Like he says he's not aiming to be a overnight sensation, he's in it for the long haul. Good mentality, even though they weren't top flight contenders he still despatched them both convincigly, heck he even retired McCarthy and we should all be thankful for that!

Bisping is one of the few fighters I truly hate. He has done really well but it hasnt really been against anyone. The Bisping/Rashad (ok another guy I hate) put on one of the lamest fights I have ever seen and other than that Bisping hasnt really fought anyone ranked (I cant believe Rashad is ranked!!!!) After his loss....excuse me, win against Hamill I havent been able to stand him. Maybe one day he will impress me but it wont be anytime soon.

Nice to see Bisping still has his fans
Why is it that every post with the word Bisping in it no matter what the subject follows the same pattern?
Find me a Bisping post without the word Hamill in it!!
Come on people get over it
