I agree that he should've been disqualified. If he would've won, one could argue that it was in part because of the illeagal shots. But I'm glad he wasn't DQ'd. I picked Leites via Split Decision!

Leites landed on his elbow not his head. It was'nt the most graceful takedown attempt but they were both exhausted and no one expected that burst of energy to come from Marquart. The knee was bad and I think that effected the judges more than anything. I had Marquart winning that fight even with the point deduction but props to Nate for being a good sport.

I think it wasn't Stopped because Thales said he was Good to Continue and the doctor checked him out and he was fine.
These Stoppages and Point deductions lately are trying to overprotect, but I don;t get is how Kimbo took over 2 Minutes worth of unanswered Ground and Pound and how Brandon Vera was Mounted the last 15 Seconds of the Fight and it was Stopped. Dan Mirgliotta reffed both of these, mabey it's how the Organizations handle their Stoppages.
Thats the problem the "Organizations" should not handle stoppages it is up to the the governing athletic commission. What I mean is the EXC on CBS event I think had to much promoter control, and UFC/WEC ect. are the real deal.

That knee that Nate landed was brutal, couldn't believe Thales still continued to fight, one tough guy with alot of heart. Could have easily been a DQ. I had the pleasure of meeting him the day after at a bjj seminar and he didn't look as bad as i thought he would, real nice guy with some impressive skills.
