Thiago weighed in at 174lbs!! Whereas Hughes was 170lbs. Hughes accepted to fight at catch weight.
Bisping 184lbs - Day 184lbs

Don't know the rest.

ARE YOU SERIOUS?? That automatically lowers your level as a fighter. You might not have control over your talents but you always have control over your conditioning and your weight, that is sad.

This card is cursed, I bet Hughes will take the fight since he is the greatest WW of all time. This is MMA karma for not having a title fight on the card. The MMA gods are mad and will do evil things to this event.

This means whoever UFC wants to win will lose. Too bad for "The Truth".

It is ashame to not make weight, when you are a professional athlete who trains full time.

4 pounds is usually not hard to drop.. and there is still time.. they usually give the fighters a bit more time which sucks for the guy who did not make weight as he has to suddenly shift his focus to losing weight and not fighting.. but then it is not a title fight so they more then liekyl will not be as picky.. thats why I like being a HW... I will not have to really worry about cutting weight and such...

Hasnt Alves had trouble making 170 in the past? Im not too sure on this but didnt he test positive for a banned substance before? And was the substance he took used to help lose weight (like a diuretic)?

Yes, you are correct in saying that, a few years ago he was banned for taking a banned substance that helped him lose weight.

4 pounds is a ton, especially if you are already dried out. It is relative really, 4 pounds from normal is nothing, 4 pounds when you already lost 15 pounds of water weight is super tough.

Since nobody else has done it yet and it's not in the first post, here's a source for the entire weigh-in results:

The time change might have something to do with that, not saying its an excuse, but alot of times the time change affects the body. still a shame though.

Well mate he didn't look 100% tough and ready to go, he looked a lathargic. (I didn't look to see the staredown).
