After Kimbo Slice defeated James Thompson in the first mixed martial arts show in prime time network television history, fellow heavyweight Brett Rogers took the podium at the post-fight press conference and called Slice's performance "garbage" and "unacceptable."
If that was Rogers' attempt to hype himself up as the next opponent for Kimbo, it worked. Slice appeared on Dan Le Batard's radio show today and said he'll fight Rogers next, "probably in October."
"They called me out, and now they got the fight," Slice said of Rogers and his camp.
Slice acknowledged that his aura took a bit of a hit with the way he struggled to defeat Thompson, but he insisted, "I was in shape. I was ready. I was ready for a battle."

Rogers is the overall better fighter of the 2, but I think Kimbo has the power to KO just about anyone if he lands...and he seems to have a good chin to.
so I dont know how to predict this one yet...it will be a war though.

I hope Rogers beats him. I don't think Kimbo will be the face of EliteXC for much longer. People will figure it out eventually.

Well TANK! And ok he is a fat washed up brawler but he could always take a punch and had never really been dropped like that before. Its clear Kimbo does have power in his punches but Brett packs just as much imo
October is a long wait for this isnt it?

Tank is way past his Prime. In his Prime he had a good chin. But not now. Buentell KOed him recently too an he was hurt by Yoshida. His speed is gne and he takes all punches flush and a bunch of them.
Roger is a better fighter than Kimbo but i question his chin. Murphy seemed to have hurt him with the first punch he landed. If Rgers stands he will be to slow to match punch for punch and wont have the chin to take a bunch of shots. He needs to take it to the ground.

Agreed.
I think Kimbo's striking power and fortitude are legit. His striking technique is suspect, and his grappling is simply non-existent. James Thompson is a brawler who had a hard time brawling with Kimbo. On the other hand, Thompson is a brawler who owned Kimbo on the mat. I was practically screaming at Thompson (from my couch) for his poor wrestling, and he still had Kimbo in quicksand.
