Why does the UFC slow up entire divisions by having future big name opponents face eachother at the end of the show? They should have the up and comers instead in my opinion to boost there careers

how dos everyone else stand with this?

Been many threads on this, I think we all feel the same way, that it's detrimental to the divisions. But maybe this layoff will get a clear cut number 1 contender after Mir (who doesn't deserve the title shot to begin with).

Mir deserves it just as much as anyone else.... Who else out there deserves a shot right now?

The winner of Werdum/Vera. Ooh Mir has successive wins over Antoni Hardonk, and a 1-0 Brock Lesnar. I'm sorry that warrants a title shot I forgot. If Eddie Sanchez wins tomorrow, lets go ahead and give him the next title shot for having successive wins over Colin Robinson, Soa Palelei, and Antoni Hardonk!

i agree, but i hate it becuase when a champion coaches, like serra and rampage, we have to wait a long time for a title fight, serre beat st. pierre and didnt fight till he fought st. pierre again a whole year later, the belt could have switched hands another 1-2 times then.

Was anyone bitching that Couture got a title shot right after losing a fight? Vera recently lost to a title holder, I do believe that he has the best chance, but I highly doubt anyone is going to take out Nog that is currently in the UFC.
