Ok it was only my 2nd time watching the guy against Trigg. But are you kidding me....he looked pathetic...he looked like Heath Herring with his takedown defense. Trigg aint the the greatest but Misaki looked bad.

He looked twice as small. And about how he got on that list... he beat Dan Henderson and Denis Kang.

Actually, against Dan it was unanimous and I havn't heard a single person saying that Dan won that fight. Their first fight which Dan won was way closer.
I'm not saying he's as good as Dan because I think Dan just had 2 bad performances there but give credit where it's due. Just because he sucked the other night doesn't mean he always does.
If you judged everybody by their last performance Lil Nog wouldn't even be top 30. He got knocked the F out by a guy with a 2-1 record that no one on here had ever heard about.

Me either. I thought any good ground guy could grind out a decision if he could get him down, and keep him down. Trigg's a good wrestler, but he looked to big and slow to get to Masaki. Also, he has seemed to want to stand and trade his last 2 fight's , so I figured Masaki would just outpoint him on the feet.

I knew Misaki was overrated so I picked Trigg and didn't even for once think Misaki was going to beat him.

In Trigg's defense he couldn't elbow/knee or stomp (IMO some of his biggest weapons)

Yeah, I was pretty disappointed with Misaki. I figured he'd work hard on the ground to wear out the older Trigg, plus use his body shots on the feet, and then probably decision him. Trigg looked big, but MIsaki could have at least scrambled on the ground a bit and worked at getting out, especially after losing the first two rounds.

It's a little weird, I found myself seeing those opportunities for the knee/kick/stomp and watched the fighter let it go past, and to be honest it didn't seem like Pride...
When Wandy had Hendo in a N/S situation (early in the 3rd??), maybe could have landed some knees, but we'll nevver know...
It's a shame, having Pride in the US seemed to really take away from Pride for me...
No Stomps/knees/soccer kicks to downed opponents and no 10 minute first round... Took two of Prides different aspects out of the situation...
Great night of fighting and I was in no way disappointed, but it gave me that doubt that things could have been differently otherwise

i like the no soccer kicks....eventually i think they will be illegal in all MMA....i could knock someone out by kicking them while they were on the ground...
