This is huge news that will change MMA. Trump has lost alot of money in some of his business ventures, hotel and casino mainly. His residential projects are money makers. At the very least Trump on the scene means Affliction will not have any money problems for awhile.

kind of saw this comming...... He has shown much interest in the scene for a while, but its important to note that big money doesn't equal big success look at Bodog their owner is loaded, or look at Mark Cuban

I think The Trump is full of BS and just wants to make money... I think if two famous monkeys were racing and he could make money he would spew something like this out for them too...

But it's going to be a good card regardless.

its hard to tell if its gonna be good for the sport or not, i hope he just invest money so that Affliction can keep up good cards and keep paying their fighter well, i guess we will need to wait and see

If Donald Trump does what I think and hope he will do. He'll see where your coming from and just use his financial and celebrity status to draw more fans to this promotion. I don't think he'll come out saying "I've been a fan of the sport for a long time and feel it is time to finally get involved with it." I think and hopefully he will say "The sport has caught my eye, I enjoy watching and learning more about it, and will do my best in helping the sport grow more mainstream."

Funny you would say that in his interview at the UFC after Tito lost he said he has been a fan of the sport for a long time.

With Trump backing Affliction, I could see the organization surviving for the first year. It appeared as if Affliction was going to let the product sell itself (and with the card as stacked as it is I could see why) instead of having a huge advertising campaign. However, with the addition of Trump, Affiliction basically got a 2 for 1 deal in this.
