I saw this movie last Friday and I'm not even going to lie, that was by far the scariest movie I've ever seen. I was so tense the entire movie that I had a migrane afterwards haha. There was a full grown man in the front row who was literally crying because he was so scared. What makes it even scarier is that something like that actually happened to someone. It's a crazy movie.
Has anyone else seen it? If so what did you think of it?

Movie sucked! Im sorry but everything was predictable. Whatever happend to a movie being scary, because it's literally scary, not something jumping out and scaring you. Granted, knowing that it was based on true story made it kind of freaky. The movie was pretty much a 30 minute scene, stretched into a hour and a half. Not knocking you, just knocking the movie. Really didnt like it.

I thought it was really good. though it was a little short. wonder how much of it was true? i know texas chainsaw massacre was based on a true story but it was very loosly based on a true story. based on ed gein, he didnt use a chainsaw and lived in the north, somewhere like mich or wisc. not sure which.

Firstly, the year 2005 stated in the opening of the film has nothing to do with the storyline. The movie is inspired by an event from the director Bryan Bertino's childhood, among other things. A stranger came to his home asking for someone who did not live there. Later, he found out that empty homes in the neighborhood had been burglarized. With that memory in mind, Bertino created this, his debut screenplay. The screenplay is also inspired by the events of the Charles Manson murders. The core of the story is based on the murders that took place in Cabin #28 at Keddie Resort, in the remote township of Keddie, CA, where three people were found tied up, stabbed, bludgeoned by a hammer. (A fourth victim who'd been at the site was found some months later, the body dumped 90 miles away.)

I saw it on Saturday and I was honestly scared too. It sucked because I usually don't get scared but this was an intense movie.
