Imagine for a second if the roles were reversed, and that was the event that was aired on CBS last night? How many fans would that have brought to the sport? People who don't even really like fighting were entertained by those main event bouts.

You read my mind. Two great fights. Eddie Alvarez vs. Hellboy just got some competition for fight of the year so far. Great job WEC.

his hair looked stupid, he needs to have it the way it was against jeff curran. but i agree i thought the torres fight was good, but faber and pulver both impressed me alot.
not to be a dick......but how are you talking about his hair after that amazing fight...???
Don't mess with the Zohan.

faber vs Pulver was amazing, dont know how jens survived through the flurry in the 2nd round, he has a great chin
Torres Vs maeda was just as good, these was a great night for MMA, cant wait to see them fight again, Anyone Pulver Vs faber 2!!.....after seeing that fight i dont think anyone else in the division will beat pulver or faber, so no doubt they'll fight again. Only fighter that would pose a challenge/ and i would pick over both is Kid Yamamoto.

Faber vs. Pulver= Amazing! Torres vs Maeda= Best fight i have seen in a long time.
I thought faber looked tired in the bottom part of the 3rd round. That double ankle lock that Torres and Maeda was pretty sweet.
About my wagers now... they all came through... EXCEPT FOR jEFF FREAKIN CURAN! wtf happend to him?

Razor Rob is a disgrace to 155... period
I was very impressed with "Cowboy" he's improved so much since TapouT.
Torres and the other guy had a war of respect in the cage last night no doubt about it.
but as for the big card of the night.
Urijah Faber should be considered and respected as the best 145 in the world. i had no idea he could box like that. Jens did a great job taking it but i dont think i was very impressed with the lack of his trademark "Left Hand."
I want a rematch!
Faber and Pulver alike are just going to plow through everyone else anyway and eventually will have to cross paths again!
i'm crossing my fingers

WEC saved what could have been a long week of people being sick to there stomaches because of Elite XC it didn't make the XC event any better, it acctually made it look worse but it did calm my hunger for real MMA. The main and the co-main event took it home, can't wait to see the next WEC show.

Put EliteXC to shame shame shame, Faber and Pulver both looked pretty fresh too it was amazing, Faber looked like he did in the first round with the exception of his hair. I thought the Torres fight wouldn't be topped.
I really can't say that the Torres/Maeda fight was topped. To be honest I think the Torres fight was better. Not to say that Faber/Pulver wasn't amazing. But man Torres/Maeda was one of the best fights I have ever seen. Has to be in my top 10 fights.
The only fight I was dissapointed in was McCollugh fight. He seemed happy to squeak by in his fight. There's no way he would have gotten away with fighting the crappy against Varner again. The sad thing is he will probably get another title shot after the Hicks/Varner fight too.

I think that the WEC show was light years ahead of the joke of a show put on by EliteXC. The elitexc show was really, really , really bad.
But the WEC show was fantastic. I was kinda disappointed by the McCullough fight, but overall good show.

if you tune into that staition and follow it close WEC usually has fights on all week, a lo of repeats but IMO a great organization. looking at the athletes there i wouldnt like to call WEC a "Secondary League." i prefer WEC.
Just a quick FYI.

God I hope that there is a Torres/Maeda 2. That fight was hands down the best I have seen in a long time.

The WEC better not do that........ they should set up a match between Razor Rob and Cowboy Cerrone....... Cerrone would out strike razor or submit him in the first round. After that Cerrone should get a chance at the belt.
WAR CERRONE!!!!
