In a recent interview, Tito Ortiz says he has 3-4 years of fighting left in him and wants to start a new promotion to rival UFC. He also said he's "65% sure" about starting the new promotion.

im pretty sure it wont be a success considering most of the main stars are locked up somewhere else. I just dont see tito locking up good fighters and paying them good money and putting on good shows every time to compete with the UFC.

If he wants to make a good promotion he needs to start small with regional promotions like strike force. As they get better at the production level they can move up and sign better fighters and move into new areas.

Ha ha! Funny thing was I was thinking the same thing. He talks about fighters getting 30% of the revenue. Is he going to pay them that? Although I could see this guy making his own fight promotion. But it would have to start of really small. Because, I'm not sure theres that many top names out there, that aren't under contract somewhere.
