Andrew Geer, a £10m-a-year turnover stone repair and refurbishment group based in West Kingsdown, Kent, has gone into receivership owing around £800,000.
It has resulted in 42 employees being made redundant.
Accountancy group BDO Stoy Hayward was called in as receiver on Friday.
Andrew Geer ran the company, with his wife Lisa being listed as a fellow director.
