Ok, i did a search and couldn't find a topic on this:
I'm a complete LOSER and just got an iPod. I know. I know. Anyways, i am looking to put some stuff on there that will be good for working out to. I dont like REALLY hard rock that i can't understand the yelling into the mic, however i do like rock and hard rock. Here's a list of what i'm going to put on it already: Rammstein , Disturbed , Staind , Breaking Benjamin , Flyleaf , Papa Roach...
Stuff along those lines. Any other suggestions to round out the workout shuffle? I lay this at the feet of the playground.

Don’t feel too bad, my kids have all had Ipod for a while now. I just now finally got one for myself.
But really on the music. I listen to so many different styles I couldn’t help you on that. It’s all about personal preference and how you feel that day. You’re not always going to want to listen to the same gym mix.

oh yea. No doubt. I was going to put like 500 songs on it though, and just put it on shuffle. I mean that's a ton and wouldn't hear the same ones very often. i just was looking for suggestions on some good stuff that gets you pumped and what not. i'm open to a lot of stuff, but rock really gets me going for the pump and running.
thanks for the post btw.

Not sure if it's the kind of music you're into, but once you get iTunes (free download from Apple) go into the Podcasts section of the iTunes store and look up a podcast called PODRUNNER. It's really good workout/exercise music consisting mainly of remixed songs from Beatport.com, usually along the lines of dance, trance, techno, tribal, and so on. Each mix is usually about an hour at various BPMs from 130 (slow) to 180+ (super-fast).

well, an obvious choice would be good old Pantera of course (probly somewhat your taste according to what u have on it), great music to get jacked up to. Most recently I found a new love for a band thats been around for a while now, wich has become my new favorite training music, The Prodigy. That stuff just gets you going and never let's go, it's crazy. Albums of Prodigy i recommend to you would be..actually all their albums are pretty kickass, i'll just rank them lol
1-Experience 2-Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned 3-The Fat of the Land 4-Music for the Jilted Generation

I wouldnt say 130bpm was all that slow, but 180 definitely is not what I'd consider super fast. 16th notes at 300bpm is what I'd call super fast.
Either way, don't just listen to Nu metal, diversify, it can only make your work outs more interesting!

For me personaly,my Mp3 player has a lot of upbeat music on it.Sometimes heavy music just kind of makes me tired. But I have heavy music that is also upbeat!Might sound weird but here's some of the songs that keep me going in the gym
1.The Lost Souls-AfI 2.The Broken-Fireball Ministry 3.Earth Vs Spider-Michale Graves 4.You Are The One-Shiny Toy Guns 5.Snake Eater Theme-Metal Gear Solid 4 6.Season Of the Witch-Michale Graves 7.Dawn Of the Dead-Michale Graves 8.Final Fantasy theme remix-Mega Driver 9.Tarzan Boy-Baltimora 10.Magic Dance-Labryth Theme Song.(Yeah go ahead.Laugh all you want,but that movie kicked ass and you know it) 11.Beast and the Harlot-Avenged Sevenfold 12.Sweetness-Jimmy Eat World 13.When you were young-The Killers 14.Girls not Grey-AFI 15.Cold War Superman-Original Material 16.In the house of Scorpio-Original Material 17.The Suffering-Coheed and Cambria 18.Devil is a loser-Lordi 19.Monster Man-Lordi (May I say when I am in the gym and am just really having a good day,tearing the weights up and feeling like an animal,this song is the best!) 20.Could Have Gone Mad-Poe 21.Especialy in Michigan-RHCP 22.We Wait-Michale Graves 23.Beware-Michale Graves 24.Whiskey In the Jar-Metallica version 25.Killing Loneliness-Him 26.Mr.Brightside Remix-Killers I got 42 all together,but these are the ones that came to mind
