Directly from UFC.COM Heath "The Texas Crazy Horse" Herring will compete against UFC newcomer Brock Lesnar at UFC 87 in Minnesota on Saturday, August 9th 2008. Herring (28-13, 1 no contest) replaces UFC hall of famer Mark Coleman, who was forced to withdraw from the UFC 87 bout due to a knee injury.
UFC 87 is headlined by the UFC Welterweight Championship bout between Georges St-Pierre and Jon Fitch, and the highly-anticipated lightweight showdown between Kenny Florian and Minnesota’s own Roger Huerta.

Lesnar's camp just confirmed that it will be a tables, ladders, and chairs match. Herring's camp is trying to get in touch with Mr. Fuji for some last minute guidance.

I think that Brock can win this fight. He will do just about the same thing he did agains Mir, this time hopefully he will have better sub defense, and avoid a bad spot and tko Herring,

The UFC is pretty stupid for doing this.
I'm not a big fan of Lesnar by any means and I respect Lesnar for wanting to go against the best right away, but the UFC should be building him up, not putting him against some of their best heavyweights.
First of all, regardless of whether he fought Mir or a can in his debut, the PPV would've had monster ratings. There was no reason to put him in against an ex-champ in his first fight. Now, he has to fight Herring. Sure, Lesnar CAN win, but why risk starting him out 0-2? Let him fight some scrub so he can be more likely to get a win and build the hype up again.

IMO they are giving brock good fighters, Because he is getting paid nearly top money. Didnt he get $250,000 for his last fight, And he was gonna get another $250,000 for the win. Getting paid $500,000 a fight is crazy at the moment, No matter who you are!
So I say give Lesnar the best they got, Make him earn that cash. But I think Brock takes this one, KO.
He will probally earn the most that night out of everyone, Which does not add up at all.

Damn I am rooting for Herring, that guy is a badass. He is an average Joe like the rest of us, I guess I can relate to him more than that slab of meat Lesnar. I hope he knocks him out in the first round. It will be tough fight either way but I think Herring has paid his dues and deserves it more.

he's not gonna need sub defense with Herring.
I see Lesnar taking this one

at least Lesner won't be fighting an old fart like Coleman. This will be a good test for Lesner !
Lesner should take this one as long as he doesn't kiss Herring

Good test IMO....we'll see if Herring can get past a grapple or if he'll falter like he did with O'Brian, and Brock....well anybody is pretty much a match up for him now, he's just too inexperienced for me to say otherwise yet.
