The online MMA community has been so busy celebrating Wanderlei Silva's return to form that they missed a very important fact:

''I know people think there was a lot of pressure on me, but I was OK,” said Silva (32-8-1). “I had Randy (Couture) in my corner and I looked at him and he was so calm, and that relaxed me.''

Wow. I didn't even notice randy in Wandy's corner!

Aha!!! Someone mentioned that earlier and I thought I had seen a glimpse of him too....good to see that the UFC isn't F#@$ing him like they did with the Diaz brothers for Nate's first big fight.

That had nothing to do with the UFC Nick Diaz wasn't allowed ringside because he was suspended for drug use and the Nevada Athletic Commission told him because of his suspension he would be unable to help out ringside.

Glad to see that Randy was allowed in the building. But I'm sure nothing substantial has changed between him and the UFC. And lets face it, Couture's additional octogon experience had nothing to do with Wandi's victory. That was a vintage beatdown "Axe Murderer" style. Lets hope this win convinces Wandi that LHW is where he belongs.

Im suprised that Wandy had time to look at Randy. I feel sorry for Jardines beard. Looks like it could be a little lop-sided from now on.

Randy being in the corner of Wandy was no big deal. I think he's been in the corner for a few of his other guys since he left the UFC anyway. I think he was there for Forrest's fight against Shogun.

Have you guys noticed that the camera was never directly on Randy, and he had to stay behind the fence, while the other trainers got to stand on the step outside of the cage?

You obviously have no idea what you're talking about. Kimbo.... ... Wagon. I can't even say the words, less than laughable. James is gonna gnp that ass back to the internet. James is an MMA artist. Kimbo has no idea what to do w/ a guy who can beat Yoshi on the ground.

I think their's a better chance he will be in Kimbo's corner since he's training him too.

JT on his training for this fight:

“I’m training with a team called London Shoot Fighters at the moment in England,” Thompson responded during a conference call on Thursday when asked to talk about his preparation for the fight. “You know I spent some time actually (deciding where to train). I joined a great team with great people. I learn from them. The problem was Shawn Thompkins has done a lot of work with Bas and Kimbo. I didn’t want to put him in such an awkward position. Shawn is a great guy. So I started looking for all the teams and followed up on one in England. It’s all been going great for me.”
