Kevin Iole of Yahoo! is indicating that UFC president Dana White isn’t ruling out lightweight champion B.J. Penn’s proposal to move back up to welterweight in order to engage Georges St. Pierre in a rematch:

I hope Dana makes BJ stay in the LW division for at least another 3/4 fights, just to make sure he cements his position as THE BEST LW ever.

Maybe then he can move up and beat GSP and then have a go at The Spider!

BJ needs to stick to his weight class for just a few fights first....let things in the WW Div settle for a moment too. Otherwise we won't see another title defense of either Div for 6 months.
Oh yeah, Neither BJ nor GSP have a shot at Anderson....he will OWN them BOTH!!!!!

BJ would prob'ly beat GSP in 3 or 4 rds. Much faster pace than this last fight, and maybe a qucker finish (wouldn't be good for GSP, i thik). Andersen would prob'ly win by dec. BJ is too slow for him at that weight. But when you look at the matches like Machida he's shown he can hang.

yes i agree BJ should defend at least twice before challenging GSP at ww. I would love to see BJ fight the winner of Florian and Huerta. I also hope we can see a second fight between BJ and GSP because the first one didnt really anwser enough questions this fight needs to be a 5 rounder.

I'd go with GSP if this fight was to happen. I think a focused GSP is as close to unstoppable as you can get in MMA.

I'd rather Penn defend against Huerta/Florian as well.

GSP/Penn doesn't excite me when neither guy has defended their belt even ONCE. Let them each defend twice and we'll see.

How come nobody wants to defend their belts anymore? Dana needs to sit these guys down and explain who makes the matchups.

I like B.J. as a LW, though a fight with GSP again would be exciting to watch. If it did happen I hope B.J. would be able to put weight on without becoming out of shape and damaging his cardio !
