My God his commentating last night was horrible. Saying that Wanderlei has a loss to Quinton Jackson was the most prominent **** up, but there were many other things that led me to believe he was either

A) Piss drunk

or

B) Had the russian mafia staring at his back waiting to collect a gambling debt the whole night.

Am I the only one who noticed this awful commentary on his part last night? I swear to God he was loaded drunk. He has got to go... now. Quick! Please, Lord get him out of there!!

Goldie is a HORRIBLE commentator. He barely knows anything even after over ten years in the sport. That was just one example. He needs to go immediately. He also called Wandy the Ice Man. Just another example. Rogan is great, I loved his tribute to Bas Rutten, but he needs a partner like Quadros that knows what he's saying.

His whole job is to talk. If he can't do that he's useless.

Dude, I've been saying this for years. Goldie always seems like he's just reading facts off a sheet and trying to sound intelligent by making obvious/abstract observations or points about the fight or fighters. For a guy whose been around the ufc for so long, he really seems to have picked up very little knowledge about the sport. Rogan is always correcting him or cutting down his points for their inaccuracies, as we saw last night. I say cut goldie and make rogan and florian the commentators, except for when florian is fighting of course, then they should throw in Mir or something.

....although i'd rather see him matched up with mauro renallo(think thats his last name)....Mauro is the voice, quadros knowledge, rogan is also the knowledge, so i think Mauro would fill in much better than quadros.

LOL that's what the other glaring mistake was. I had forgotten he said that until just reading that. I was laughing my ass off, too. What an idiot, man. You gotta give it up to Joe for having the ever present cynical humor that makes Goldberg bearable to the knowledgeable fan

goldys voice is legendary and dana likes to keep the employees that stuck through the hard times in the sport. Goldy's also a class act. Yes he does seem loaded every pay per view, says some silly things , but i can accept him.

Lol his translater didn't seem to tell him though, which I thought was funny. I was laughing when Goldy was talking about the fan votes on the sherk penn fight, "If BJ wins then 54% of fans would be...right" No shit sherlock lol.

Goldberg: "Undoutobly if he [Sherk] catches him he can knock him out, he's got that kind of explosivness"
Rogan: "Well Sean has never been known as an explosive striker though Mike, he's never knocked anybody out standing with a punch"

I just re-watched Jardine vs. Forrest at UFC 66 and I found another thing that Goldy does which pisses me off to no end.

Every single time Randy Couture is in the announcer's booth Goldberg feels like he has to take a little "playful shot" at Couture.

After Forrest got KO'd by Jardine Randy says "Well, he just got caught"

So Goldberg says "That can happen to the greatest of champions. Not that I'm mentioning any names here, Randy..."

I've heard him do something similar to that 100 times when Randy is in the announcer's booth. Granted we won't have to worry about that anymore, but it's just another one of those things that fires me up. Who the **** is Goldberg to take little shots at Randy like that??? Randy always gets dead quiet after he says something stupid like that. My guess is he's calming his anger.

My buddy and I were talking about it and we were saying how funny it would be if Couture just reached over and KTFO'd Goldberg then said "Yeah, some people just get caught.. not mentioning any names GOLDBERG!"

Goldie also said before the Sherk/Penn fight, "many people believe if this fight goes the distance than BJ will take it"

I doubt he will get fired, I always get some good laughs from him anyways
