Wanderlei Silva, Rousimar Palhares, Goran Reljic and Wilson Gouveia all secured $75,000 "fight night" bonuses stemming from Saturday's UFC 84 event, MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) has confirmed.
The 11-fight event took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The bonus winners were revealed in a post-fight press conference.
Silva earned the Knockout of the Night bonus, Palhares earned the Submission of the Night bonus, and Reljic and Gouveia each picked up Fight of the Night honors.
Silva rebounded from a three-fight losing streak in spectacular fashion, battering opponent Keithe Jardine with a series of blows that prompted a TKO stoppage just 36 seconds in the first round.
UFC newcomer Palhares dominated his fight with Ivan Salaverry and went to work early for the submission. He secured the rear-naked choke and transitioned into an arm-bar to force the stoppage at 2:36 of the first round.
Reljic and Gouveia split Fight of the Night honors for their televised performance. Reljic posted his eighth straight victory -- and snapped Gouveia's four-fight win streak in the UFC -- with a TKO at 3:15 of the second round.

Agreed. BJ showed that he has awsome stand up. That to go with his awsome ground game. I can see him dominating the division like Anderson Silva has dominated the MW division.
How are Huerta or Ken Flo gonna cope with BJ now? The answer is that they aint.

Reljic had sick LHK's. He threw those with impunity since Gouveia clearly wanted it standing. I thought that was a pretty major upset.

I agree with Gouveia and Reljic getting FOTN. Great back and forth action. This whole card was great!

Most of the people you listed are not in the same organization as him so it's pretty natural that he wouldn't have mentioned them.

Well we all kinda know now that jardine cannot contender at 205 with that weak jaw of his, getting Ko'ed by houston and wandy.
But I think Shane Carwin should have got KO of the night, his KO was brutal!

How do you figure he's got a weak jaw? I guess Chuck doesn't hit hard?

well we will find out soon, but i think it is real. Jardine only earned $14,000 against Chuck and that was with a win bonus of $7,000. he is still probably on his old contract before he started to make some waves so his salary is still quite low. i hope that this fight with Wandy doesn't discourage Dana to increase the pay of Jardine, because God knows he deserves it.
