According to the ufc website, coleman vs lesnar is off due to an injured coleman, so GSP vs fitch is in to replace the main event for ufc 87.

Lesnar still to fight, his opponent tba

Good to see GSP-Fitch, too bad Coleman's out. Obviously I wonder who will face Brock now.

This is good news. Iam glad to hear GSP is fighting sooner than later. I see GSP winning in the 2nd round TKO.

if they are trying to build up Lesnar by all means bring in Kongo. Lesnar by extremely brutal GnP tko. as a ufc fan i'd like to see Kongo take more time off and still round himself out. personally i enjoy fights that are 2 guys of the same style, rather than 2 guys of extremely different styles that suck at one or the other.

Kongo is rumored to fight Evenson on that card. They very easily could change it and have him fight lesnar. I think Lesnar would take Kongo down and GnP him early. Herring wouldn't be a bad choice and would be a better fight for Lesnar. I could see them doing something like Eddie Sanchez to fight Lesnar.

i like the style vs style as it means one fighter will have to go away and improve their game, style vs style could potentially lead one fighter to inherit the best mma style. Saying that, who'd of thought GG would ko crocop, the kick boxer vs the grappler. The grappler out struck the kicker. Insane sport. Lesnar vs kongo would be great because although kongo is the more experienced of the two, i think the odds would be dead even, just because of the aggressive style lesnar displayed against mir, i would like to believe that a win over kongo would rocket lesnar's confidence and capabilities as a fighter with a huge leap win over a ranked striker in kongo. It makes better sense to fight someone rather than a can, purely because of the extensive training lesnar has been doing since his change over in this sport. Would be an interesting fight. I still dont think kongo has worked harder on his wrestling, so i would have to go with a G&P tko to lesnar.

Eddie sanches would be another good choice if they dont want to put kongo, he woudnt put much of a fight but he'd last long enough to make Lesnar look good.
as mentioned before Mccully could be another possibility also.

Eddie sanchez is a tough dude, he gave that win to crocop, he didnt even try. He got a 3 fight extension on his ufc contract taking that fight with crocop. I bet after seeing crocop lose to kongo and GG, eddie is majorly pissed, he will be out for redemption in his next fight. I think lesnar needs to face a striker before he gets in the with a tough dude like sanchez. Kongo/lesnar would still be a big enough fight to pull in the fans.

sanchez is tough, but his wrestling is NOwhere near lesnars, and His jits is even half as good as Mir is on the ground, and you can count that lesnar is working on Jits defence. i dont see how he could pull of the win here, not even close.

The need to get somebody that lasts more than a few secs with lesnar, but also that wont pose much of a threat. Kongo/sanchez/Muccully all fit that Bill IMO.

Well i guess we all know what the main event at 87 is now.

War Fitch!!!!!!

As far as Coleman being out..Id say Mccully would be a good matchup for Brock.
