Doesn't sound like anyone posting in this thread realizes that Lashley has a very strong College Wrestling background...as well as with the the Army.
Exactly. From what i read he wrestled somewhere around 170 lbs...and I heard a while back he had dropped back down to around the same weight. So I really doubt we'll ever see him and Brock Lesnar fight.

You guys do know he's been training at American Kickboxing Academy right? He is already a sick wrestler and AKA has been doing wonders with Kos and Fitch's stand up. This guy has a way better chance of being a Heavyweight champion then Lesnar. He will be a beast!!!
GO LASHLEY!!!
I think so too. He is a lot younger and hopefully he will start out doing smaller shows and move up(to the bigger orgs) as he improves.

Lashley is a huge guy. Very strong. He should make a good transition to MMA if that's what he wants to do. I wouldn't mind seeing him fight. But please let him get few wins under his belt in smaller orgs before bringing him up to the big boys. The threw Lesnar to the wolves when the put him against Mir in his first UFC fight.

Well, although he has a strong amateur background, it is still up in the air how big and strong he will be off of the juice...so you may be jumping the gun a bit. He gained a hundred pounds of muscle since his amateur days, so we'll see how much weight he loses once he's all natural.

Isn't this guy a former Marine or something or at least in the Army ? I wonder if it is legal to punch someone in the Juggular ?

Shows how popular MMA is becoming that more WWE guys are giving it a try. That guy looks extremly strong and athletic like Brock but its gonna take a long time and a lot of dedication if he really wants to do well.
MMA is taking over things like WWE! With what you say as well!

Hahaha... I hope he does better than Ludvig Borgir (can't remember his real name)... (Randy Couture squashed him in both their UFC debuts)...

Lashley is certainly a very talented athlete, but i cant see him being able to go the distance with a top level MMA fighter... Most WWE wrestlers have never been kicked in the head, taken an elbow to the chin or had thier thighs battered with brutal kicks... MMA is a whole different ball game...

i would like to see lashley but i dont really think his potential would be that high.I think as soon as he would fight a bjj fighter like lesnar did he would get submitted with ease.Maybe if he was to fight someone like kimbo not anyone in the ufc as of right now all mma artist are really evolving and that makes it evn harder for people to come in
