2.) What other serious sport could you see a championship put on hold for the sake of reality TV and ratings? [...]I have to wait for Rampage to defend his title because of a TV show... Now we'll have to wait for Nog's first title defense for a half a year because of a TV show...

I agree with you here. Delaying title fight after title fight is really annoying. I suppose if a particular division is devoid of legit challengers, giving the title a little break might not be so bad, but the Welterweight and Light-Heavyweight divisions are two of the most exciting. The delay in these matches has to have hurt overall fan interest. And the hype machine that was "Hughes vs. Serra" was a total bust anyway, in that respect. We might never see that fight, and if we do, none of us will care as much as we would have a year ago.

I can understand it with the HW's as well... There really isn't much depth in the division and all in all it could use a little work... And I know that both Rampage and Forrest were injured so we would have had to wait either way.... But just the idea gets under my skin... And the fact that when Dana has a "big announcement" to make nowadays... It's about the next coaches for a reality show... And he's happy with himself about it..... Ahhhh, all the bitching in the world won't change a thing... but I don't see why they don't feed Nog a couple smaller time guys that would put on an exciting fight... Show more of his heart and serious skills and build the guy a fan base... I guess TUF could be one way to do that, but I'd rather see him make a name for himself in the UFC's octagon as appose to a TV show on Spike.

All you need to do is cut back to one season a year and spend more time putting together the season. Take longer to put the roster together. I say make a 10 fight minimum to even be considered to be let in the house. This season is the best by far, Rampage is funny as hell and the fights are exciting thanks to what's his face LNP dude leaving early.

The only probably I have is like you said Rush, guys are coming in with not even ONE PRO FIGHT! It's freakin ridiculous since the UFC has most of the best fighters in the world so what do they expect when these amateurs go against them? They seriously need to have a ten fight minimum because what turns me off the most are the sloppy fights with two bar brawler who think they can make it in the UFC just because they can punch but then get pissed when their taken down.

MORE EXPERIENCE FIGHTERS = A TEN TIMES BETTER SHOW!!! Especially since most of the pussies who left are the rookies who take for granted the oppurtunity they have!!!

I agree with rush that last season the drama and BS was off the charts, but this season is very different. No one got on the show to look good or clown around. All these guys fought to get in the house, and there has been two fights almost everyweek. Except this week which is the final 1st rnd fight. CB Dollaway is fighting

I think that the UFC should maybe consider using contenders as coaches instead of the champ and number one contender, if they are going to stick with the format of having the coaches fight after the show is finished. This way the champ would be able to defend the belt at least once while the show is going on, and the winning coach could then challenge for the belt.

I've stopped watching TUF this season and to be honest, I didn't really watch it much the last two seasons. I have found the drama to be just ridiculous lately. Also, during the premiere this season I thought a lot of the fighters were not that great and most just looked like they started doing MMA, and martial arts in general, in the past year. It seems I wasn't the only one as I have heard some similar remarks from some members.

My questions are.

Has TUF just become Big Brother with fighting instead of games? Has this made a less serious show?

Is the UFC putting on too many shows? There have been 7 seasons in about 3 years.

Is the UFC really trying to find great fighters? Or do they find a few good fighters that they think will win (and they can market), then fill the rest of the show with cans. Do they do this to try and get more finishes on the show?

Do they pick some fighters based on their potential to be strange or dramatic in front of the camera, more than their ability to fight in the ring?

We've been hearing that the ratings have gone down. Is that because the quality of fighters appears to be declining? Or has the UFC just saturated the viewers by putting on 2 shows over a year? Is it just that people are tired of the same old stuff every show? Dana said there would be big changes this season, but really that was only the first episode. Not only that, the format of the show was predictable from S1E1 in that it was easy to predict if a fight was a finish or decision and possibly whom got knocked out/lost.

Personally I think the show is starting on a downward spiral and that next season will be the beginning of the end. I don't see TUF going past 10 seasons.

I think you must have been smokin something when you typed this...

This season's TUF has been the most fight-packed since the series started. There's been hardly any BB type rubbish to fill the show, it's more or less been one fight after another.
