I love AA
but I see him getting TKO'd in the second after a tentative first round...
I think Rothwell will just start to push the pace and land a big shot......ending it

1. Tim wasn't on roids when he KO'd Arlovski. He got caught after the 1st one and after he beat Ricco if I remember correctly but I'm 100% sure it was before the 2nd one when he got KO'd.
2. I didn't say AA has no chin. I just said it's not very good borderline even weak. 3 of his 4 losses are by T/KO. And I don't think Ricco could knock any good heavyweight out.
I just am 99% sure the old AA will not be showing up. And if Jake O'Brien was a good striker I think he could have KO'd Arlovski. And Ben Rothwell packs some very good power and has some devastating KO's under his belt. Yeah he's KO'd pretty much bums but you don't have to be Fedor or Tim Sylvia to have a good chin. If the old AA comes back and takes Rothwell's best shots and still ends up winning. I'll stop with the criticism of his chin. I really do like the old Arlovski and it's a shame he's lost his fire. I hope I am proven wrong.
AA went on record saying he was tentative with O'Brian because he didn't want to further damage his neck. Which was why he was pulling his punches and didn't try to choke him when he frequently gave up his neck. He schooled him pretty much all through that match so i don't see how he could have KO'd him if he knew how to punch. Rothwell is nowhere near as good a striker as Arlovski and even though he has power so does Andrei. But Andrei still has the crisper kickboxing to fall back on and the Sambo.
As for the chin thing if anyone connects with a punch and they weigh 240+lbs people are going to feel it. His first fight was just a plan and simple lucky punch and the next two were when he was young. I don't get how people say he has a weak chin at all!
You are right about Tim though i was mistaken.
I don't see how you think he's lost his fire though! His last 3 fights have all been against ground specialists who would love him to over commit an pull him down. Also in the 3rd Sylvia fight he landed all the big shots. He needs a fight against someone who try to bang with him so people can remember just how good he is! Any striker fighting someone who wants to pull them to the floor is bound to be nervous. It pisses me off how quickly people forget Andreis god fights an focus on his 2 most boring ones.
The 3rd Tim fight was good until he was injured then Tims jab and poke style took over and the Werdum fight was just a good game plan tentatively executed and i'v said before it was a boring fight. As for Ricco not KOing any good HW's Couture, Arlovski, Monson and Ambriz are all pretty good HW's he's KO'd!

I've always thought Randy was overrated when it came down to "is he a great Heavyweight"? He's more of an ultimate opportunist. He wasn't coming off a long layoff and being taken lightly in that fight and Ricco didn't have a back injury. Also Randy wasn't TKO/KO'd he tapped.
Also Monson wasn't near as good as he is now then and Ricco was pretty much at his best. After that fight was when we started seeing crackhead Ricco.
And IMHO AA was just making excuses. Didn't want to hurt his neck? I'm sorry man, he is your very fighter but that has to be the lamest excuse I have ever heard. He was cleared to fight and in a fight you do anything you can in the rules to win.
But your entitled to your opinion especially when it's your favorite fighters and I can respect that. Agree to disagree. But once again I will say, I hope he proves me wrong and the old pitbull comes back!!!

That Rothwell is over rated at this point. He's a good heavyweight, but hasn't beaten any real solid competition in my eyes. I think Arlovski will tko by the 2nd rd.

Changing my pick to Arlovski 2nd RD TKO. Just found out he's training with my favorite and one of the greatest boxing coaches of all time Freddie Roach. Rothwell is sloppy and Roach is too good of a boxing coach and will have Arlosvki pick Rothwell apart as well as have him protect that suspect chin everybody questions.
I mean shoot, Freddy slaps Manny Pacquiao around on a daily basis to get him focused. I have a feeling he's the man that brings the old AA back. The one we all love!!!

I seem to be in the minority with you Mayhem. I think that Andrei's chin is going to be tested...and he's going to fail. KO/TKO 2nd round for Big Ben.
