Good to Sports Illustrated paying attention to the up and commers and not just the UFC. Its an interesting list.

I cant quite figure out what they mean by up and comers. Some of these guys are already stars in thier respective sports and some of them are nobodies.

And two guys in particular, Jim Miller and Deividas Taurosevicius, are already quite well established in their division. Im not sure how you can call them up and comers.

Interesting list. Looks like SI is doing their homework on fighters from all over the place. It's nice to see them covering MMA so in depth.

You mean to tell me that a big-time publication is taking the sport serious and is actually covering the sport outside of the UFC?

I expect a lot of good MMA coverage from Sports Illustrated now that they signed Josh Gross to work for them. Very nice beginning so far.

Cain Velasquez and CB Dollaway are definately guys to keep an eye on. Two good wrestlers that don't appear to be interested at all in Lay n Pray

Decent list. Is there an actual order. Like, is Jake Rosholt #1 or #10. I don't think they were clear on that.

I agree, they were not very clear, from what I gathered from reading the list and the comments that there was no order. Just 10 guys to keep an eye on that they figure can become stars.

Nice to see some main stream Sports media taking an interest in the roots of the sport.

I think Jacare is established now. He is going to be a force in MMA foe a while IMHO.

I like the list, but im having trouble finding out who is #1 is it Rosholt or Miller? cuz either way i think Jacare should be at the TOP! Miller second.

Also, to go with my previous statement:

Deividas Taurosevicius is getting a shot at the IFL lightweight title. Please explain how he is an up and comer.

Yeah, this list doesn't otherwise look like a "Top 10 fighters most people haven't heard of because they aren't in the UFC", so Taurosevicius looks out of place. I might replace him with Roger Gracie.

Still, it's a good list, with several guys I hadn't already heard of.
