I have not heard or seen anything about when he may be fighting next. Has he been cut from the UFC? Is he out looking for a heart that works after you get punched? (not bashing, i like him alot. Hes just dissapointing)
I think GG vs Kongo may be in order. Anyone know anyting?

IMO in terms of talent i think he is better than most guys at the top (i believe he could beat Kongo, Vera, herring, Mir and maybe even Nog, his stand up is better in terms of power, plus the leg kick would kill Nog, and on the ground i doubt he could get subbed), his stand up is good, great leg kicks, but Quitting (heart) has been his biggest downfall, i highly doubt the UFC would cut him now.
a Fight with Kongo would make sense right now, if not, a fight with Herring would also make sense, seeing how herring hasnt been booked yet and there arent many fights out there.

His fight against Mccully was official on UFC.com, but was taken off , and with Big Nog saying that he will be fighting at UFC 87 its almost Certain it will be Mir Fighting Nog for the title, not that he deserves it, but thats what happens when you beat a guy who was overly hyped, i guess the UFC is looking to take advantage of his Recent Recognition as "that guy that beat Lesnar". and with Lesnar being on that card, its makes it that much more interesting.

I agree with you to the foolest. He has alllllll the potential in the world. Naturally very heavy handed (and footed) And i really doubt anyone is going to sub him. His heart and gas tank are very questionable tho. BTW, i hate werdum with a passion, i hope vera permanently mames him.

mir is good, but he is not ready yet, he hasn't reached his potential like he did years ago, he will lose or gas out. i really think he needs two more fights beofre it, but letting andre walk, and cro cop didn't help, neither did not getting a threat like barnett or sergio or someone to come in

I can agree with you on parts of this, I don't like his stand up, there are alot of holes for me, Randy was able to out box him and Randy's boxing is far from satisfactory to me. He's got power as he should since he's 250+ lbs and not that tall. His ground game is good but I really don't see him going anywhere fast.

I definitely think he should fight Kongo, makes the most sense, both coming off losses.
The thing about GG's fight against Randy was that his nose was broken early in the fight when Randy landed on him from a takedown, wasn't from a punch or anything, it just happened when Randy took him down....so i could understand why he got owned in the fight.....broken nose=hard to breathe

well he fought 2 cards back from the most recent ppv. No doubt he will be on a card this summer. He's got too much potential for ufc to give him up. the heavy weight division is weak. He has a big name from that CC ko in the uk. GG is fairly one dimensional with the right leg kicks, he really telegraphs them. werdum eventually caught on , weathered the storm and used his much improved muay thai. gabe mentally broke when couture took him down and broke gabes nose with his head. I think his stamina is very quesitonable. He has the tools but only time will tell if he improves his stamina and mental game.

He's a good fighter, just not a great fighter IMO. I would like to see him fight Herring, Kongo, or Mir. I don't really wanna see Mir get a title shot yet. I really like Mir a lot and want him to do great, but I'd like for him to get another good win or two before he fights Nog. But then again, who's left for Nog to defend his belt against if he doesn't fight Mir?

i think that if gonzaga would have beat werdum then gonzaga would have faced kongo or big nog.
big nog vs gonzaga would be a decent fight to watch.

Ya, but HW has always been the weakest div, and the worst to watch, imo in any combat sport. I hated boxing when all I'd seen was HW hugfests. It's just part of it. You got a few in UFC and a few that are scattered about the world right now. There aren't that many good/great HW's to be had. LHW WW LW and FW are all pretty stacked, so I don't care so much about HW and MW not (tho I wish Andersen had more contenders, but that's the weakest div worldwide)
