"The UFC has announced that the June 7th UFC 86 card from London, England will now be a free TV event with Chuck Liddell pulling out from the card. The new main event sees Light Heavyweights Rashad Evans and James Irvin collide. This is the smartest move possible by the company as this show would have been lost on PPV being sandwiched between the May 24th card and the July 5th event with Quinton Jackson Vs Forrest Griffin. Do you realize this means there will be 4 UFC shows in a span of 6-weeks with UFC 84, 85, 86 and a TUF 7 finale?"

So the show airing live on PPV in the afternoon is safe to assume and then it will air on tape delay on Spike TV. Nice

perhaps a false alarm as i just ran across this as well

Just to clarify the confusion surrounding UFC 85, despite UFC.com listing it as airing on Spike TV earlier today we have word directly from Spike's mouth that this is an error on UFC.com's side that has been fixed. As of now this is still a PPV.

Of course things CAN change, but as of this moment in time you'll be paying for UFC 85 unless you have a friend you can bum off of. Again, as more time passes the less chance there is for it to be switched to Spike.

So that's the latest. We'll let you know when, if ever, something changes.

also this is probably false, since they still have irvin vs rashad as the main event (alves vs hughes new main event)

They wouldnt put a UFC event on spiketv and ppv that'd just not be smart.

Haven't they ran the free cards on Spike on Pay Per View in the afternoon?

i don't think everyone would pay for 3 pay per view events in a 6 week span, if they were smart they would do 85 on spike, there should be a annoucement any day to make it official whether it will be free or on pay per view
