"Vegas" by The Crystal Method
"Exit Planet Dust" by The Chemical Brothers

I have both of these albums. I thought about adding Exit Panet to the list, but I tried to get a variety of different beats. Vegas was an album I liked a lot back in undergrad, but I don't like it as much any more. Still a few tracks rock though.

Trance/Techno is so damn diverse with so many sub genres it's hard to just classify something as just "trance".

1. Opeth - Still Life
2. Dream Theater - Images and Words
3. Metallica - Ride the Lightning
4. Megadeth - Rust in Peace

instrumental

1. explosions in the sky - the earth is not a cold dead place
2. caspian- you are the conductor
3. dysrythmia- pretest
4.don cabellero - 2
5. electrocution 250 - electric cartoon music from hell

i would have to put russian circles on this list too, even though i only know explosions in the sky

i like russian circles to, and their are several others i would have listed if it were a top ten list. i.e sleep terror, tides, canvas solaris, and dark overlords of the universe. i listen to a lot of death metal but instrumental is my second favorite genre. if you like explosions in the sky and russian circles you should check out some of the others.

theres only one style of punk man, its a way of life not a style of music or a piercing you can take out, these guys represent what that is meanwhile bands like NOFX and Bad Religion just bitch and whine, no substance, you'll never find a NOFX, Bad Religion or even a Social D concert for under 30$ anymore, thats called selling out badly, while the real punk bands keep playin' for 10$ and playin small venues the mainstream bands will continue to kill the genres real meaning, that it is a way of life.
