In an interview with The Fight Network, Kalib Starnes explained that injuries to his leg led to his backpedaling and lopsided loss to Nate Quarry at UFC 83 in Montreal.

Sounds like a lame ass excuse to try and save face....If his foot were broken why run for three rounds, and plus i dont ever remember seeing him limp during or after the fight.

Hmm. I would of thought if he broke his foot, getting knocked out and the fight finishing quick would of been better for him. Really cant see how he figured running around the octagon for 15 mins would do anything at all to help a broken foot. Im really confused as to why he felt getting knocked out would of further damaged the foot.

What he meant is he didn't want to get a another injury from getting knocked out, like a concussion for instance or any other injury that could occur from getting his face beat in. So, he didn't mean getting knocked out would further injure his foot.
Anyways, I think it is a very lame excuse regardless...

I think the real reason for him running like a bitch was because of the sand in his vagina

Ive seen people put up a better performance with broken hands and blown out ACLs than that pathetic marathon kalib starnes put on! it seems too convenient to me that starnes is always getting injured in his fights and wants to cry about it and throw in the towel. Theres always some excuse "My rib is broken," "The doctor could see my skull," "My foot was broken!" im not saying there is no legitimacy to the injuries, but i have never seen a fighter willingly throw in the towel on so many different occasions. not to mention he is one of the most tentative fighters ive ever seen.
