The hamstring injury to former light heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell has forced the promotion to shuffle the UFC 85 deck once again for the show at the 02 Arena in London, England, on June 7.
And while no official announcements have been made about what to expect, MMAmania.com has learned a few things throughout the day.
A 185-pound showdown between Michael Bisping and Chris Leben — a match up we teased earlier this afternoon — is expected to headline the show. In addition, James Irvin has agreed to step up and replace Liddell to take on Evans.
In addition, and this is the shakiest bit of information we are passing along, the show will possibly air on SpikeTV for FREE similar to UFC 75: “Champion vs. Champion.”
If all this pans out — and there is still one fight to be announced — fans would have little to complain about. It’s a solid card even though it may lack a “big” name such as Liddell or Georges St. Pierre.
Stay tuned. .
I'd love nothing more then to see Bisping try and trade with Leben.
Edit it won't let me put in a link but http://mmamania.com/2008/04/22/ufc-85-fight-card-rumored-updates/

Rich would KO Bisping, Leben has a chance too...the moment it becomes a slugfest lookout Bisping, you can get caught! But I would generally think that Bisping could outpoint and win a UD over Leben. Now Irvin v Rashad is screaming a 1st round tap....Irvin isn't going to fare well here at all. Too bad too because I am a Rashad hater!!!

If it was Leben vs. Bisping it could be a crazy fight. Bisping looks really good at 185 but Leben has heavy hands and I am not quite sold on Bispings chin. I think it would be a slugfest with someone getting the KO. I would hope Leben 2nd rd. Really thoI think could make a run towards the 185 title.
If it is free this would be dynomite.

I think if the fight stays standing it could be a good one that ends with Bisping getting knocked out. After Leben vs. Silva i forgot that Leben does actually have a chin made of steel and he can throw down. I just forgot to take into account who he was getting punched by. But he had pretty impressive fights with Martin and Sakara, i expected him to get knocked out in both. Should be an interesting match if it does happen.

I think Bisping would outpoint Leben to a decision if this fight goes down... Leben has an iron chin and of course would have a slugger's chance at knocking out Bisping but I think Bisping's stand-up is too technical for Leben. I think Leben would be on the receiving end of Bisping's strikes all night. Would be an exciting slugfest that's for sure.
Bisping-Leben for some reason is just more interesting than Franklin-Bisping is.
Now I'm excited for UFC 85, styles makes fights and I have a feeling this could be a potential Fight Of The Year candidate.

Bisping versus Franklin? Are you kidding me? Bisping has done very little to make me think he can compete with the big boys even at MW. Inspite of an impressive record he hasnt beat anybody in the top 25 at either MW or LHW convincingly. Frankling would kill him.
Even though i dont think he should get a fight with Leben, i would welcome it because Leben would definately beat Bisping. His mediocre striking would have no chance of knocking out the iron-chinned Leben and he would either lose by decision if it stays standing or by submission if it goes to the ground where Bisping hasnt been able to prove he has any skill.
As for the event being free, that would be awesome. I say this often but ill say it again; if its MMA and free on a channel that i get, i will go out of my way to watch it.

The only reason i would want either fight Leban or Franklin is to prove that Bisping is pure hype. And once they stop feeding him cans he will loose, I'm not sure why people think he is good, who has he beat: Charles McCarthy - Bisping looked good because McCarthy didn't put up a fight. Lost to Rashad, not a good fight from either fighters
Matt Hamill- We all know that if that wasn't in the Uk Hamill should have won, that should be Bispings next fight, rematch against Hamill. They throw Tim Boetsch at Hamill and Bisping gets McCarthy, I bet Hamil will finish Bisping this time, or even Boetsch. Leban will KO him, and Franklin lol come on.. he isn't on his level. You watch they will have Silva and Chuck both against hamill, same time and Bisping will show is awesome skills against Starnes.
jk on that last part..I know Bisping is the ufc's way to keep the Uk happy but please enough with the cans
