natedawgtham is a perfect example of a bandwagoner.
+1 He jumped on and then off the Serra bandwagon pretty quickly as well.

I will stand up for him in as much as he isnt on a Thiago Silva bandwagon, he picked both his ufc fights he could pick on perfect for him so at least he didnt go from Houston to Silva, those guys should be ashamed of themselves
The biggest failed bangwagon has to be Houston, im happy to say i always argued against them and knew he wasnt the real deal, LOL someone needs to bump all the threads where they wanted to see Houston fight Chuck/Wandy etc

Of all of the WW's in the UFC, I think Fitch would be the toughest fight, but how many times have we seen him on his back against someone with great takedown and ground game....?
I think another wrestler will just get owned by GSP's awesome wrestling ability...

And you guys didn't jump on the GSP and Anderson Silva bandwagon? Your both full of crap. I'm sure you both knew how great both Anderson Silva and GSP were going to be before their very first fight
Your both just as much a band wagon jumper.

Gsp suffers from the same problem as chuck liddell. Hes so good, that people will just look for any excuse to put him down. He got subbed by hughes and his submission game was over rated, he got rocked by serra, now his stand up games over rated. Same with chuck, he got taken down by randy, his sprawl was over rated, he got beat by jardine, so his stand ups over rated. It really grates on me y'know. Gsp can take down anybody in the ww division without to many problems imo. He could also outstrike most guys in the division. Everybody still says serra exploited gsps standup, but in the second fight gsp owned what little stand up there was, and used his striking perfectly to set up his takedowns.
I mean, fitch got outstruck by chris wilson in his last fight by i dont see a million threads started about how his stand ups overrated. As far as fitch goes, i honestly beleive gsp beats him where ever the fight goes.
Davis doesnt stand more than a punchers chance. Gsp would take him down and control him there at will. No disrespect to davis, but his sprawl isnt anywhere near ready for gsp.
Deigo is in the same situation as fitch, hes so good becouse of how well rounded he is, but unfortunately gsp is better at most aspects.
Alves is his biggest threat in the division imo. Hes the one guy i feel can outstrike gsp and he can hold his own on the ground. But i think gsp would beable to take him down and keep him there at the end of the day.
This has turned out to be a pretty ball licking post, but im not even that big of a gsp fan, hes not even in my top 10. I just genuinely beleive he lives up to the hype, and people just hate on him for the sake of hating.

But IMHO his biggest threat will be later this year or early next year after he develops and beats the quality opponents. His name is Anthony "Rumble" Johnson!!! He's freakin huge for a welterweight and like Fitch and GSP, looks like a middleweight beating on a lightweight. His reach is sick and no doubt he would absolutely destroy GSP on the feet, it wouldn't even be funny or even fun to watch. Just sick. That sick reach and power. He has a good sprawl as you saw against Speer. The only question is cardio and sub defense but that's only questioned in a fight he took on a weeks notice against an experience underrated veteran in Rich Clementi when he was fighting at 160 or 165. He didn't cut weight properly and that wasn't even his weight class. It was like asking an offensive lineman to cut down to the size of a running back. HE WILL BE THE CHAMP BY 2010!!!
Yeah I have seen GSP fight before. But what does looking decent on the feet against a bunch of one dimensional wrestlers have to do with having good stand up? BJ Penn beat him on he feet and so did Serra. He hasn't proven against anybody his stand up. And no he can't take a punch, your right Serra did hit him 40 times and YOU JUST PROVED ME RIGHT! I'm not talking about chin and getting KO'd. He got hit and didn't hit back. he balled up. So no he can't take a good punch and give one back. Fail...
So anthony johnson k.o's the most one dimensional fighter in the ww division (imo) who has no stand up game to speak of, and hes super awesome. Yet gsp has over rated stand up becouse he only beats "one dimensional wrestlers"???
Anybody else smell the hypocrisies in those two posts?

I just wanted to point out that Matt Serra caught GSP with this punch:
I've never been hit like that by someone with muscles like that, but maybe someone else can describe the experience for us. I'm guessing the word "screwed" might be involved, or perhaps "merde" if you're from Montreal.
EDIT: Point being, GSP's loss to Serra doesn't necessarily reflect his whether or not he can take a punch, because a punch like that pretty much sucks for anyone.

Actually I have. This is going to sound like complete bullshit and totally coincidental, but I swear to God I couldn't make this shit up and it's true-
At my old school we had a guy who was an amateur body builder. This guy was a black belt (Kenpo Karate) and he was about to train for his 2nd degree. Anyway, I was helping him train a couple techniques and one of those techniques was an arm drag/punch combination. Basically you arm drag your opponent down to your side and come across with your far hand to smash them right on the back of their ear (mastoid process).
It was just drilling, so he wasn't supposed to be hitting full on, but this guy was kind of clumsy and he put a little too much into it. When you're an amateur bodybuilder putting a "little too much into it" is like the average joe putting a lotta too much into it. Anyway, it ended up with me being flash KO'd for about 2 secs. I've never really been knocked out before this, so it was a strange experience. One minute I was standing there getting arm drug, and the other I was face down on the mat.
Moral of the story- Getting hit back behind the ear area definitely does the trick.
Edit: Oh yeah... I forgot to mention. When he hit me, man I was "SCREWED!!!!"

Marcus Davis, I see all of the others awaiting the same fate as Hughes and Serra, but just when you think Davis is out he comes back all gunsa blazing as Paul found out, plus the fact that he hits so hard could be dangerous.
