You know, why don't they just move Rashad over to UFC 84 to fight Thiago like he was suppose to. Then they have Anderson Silva vs. Okami for UFC 85?

Theres no way they can pull off rashad vs irvin as a main event. Its got no title implications, and nobody really cares about either fighter. This fight is only good enough to open the card imo, mabeys even the swing bout. I really cant think of an alternative thought. Silva vs okami would be worthy, possibly a fight involving hendo as long as the rest of the main card is good.
Also, to the kid feeling sorry for himself becouse he has to pay for ppv's, i think the reason people would feel sorry for the uk guys is becouse we got a little shafted in the past with events (franklin vs okami wasnt main event material, and the way the fight went down made it even worse), now its looking like where going to get another poor main event. We only like 1 or 2 live events a year, it should at least be something worth going to see.

Seems like dana is looking to put on a whole new fight for the main event. He also says theres going to be 13 fights, so he could still add 4 more awesome fights and the card might be worthy after all. Tbh, just checking it now, its not all that bad. Nate vs thales, werdum vs vera and swick and davies are all main card material. Hopfully the new main event will be decent then one of the remaining 3 fights will be good then ill still be happy about the card.

The bottom line with all of this is that Dana was tryiong to 'get over' in the UK, so they needed the poster boy and quite possibly the most well known UFC guy in Liddell to sell the tickets. Without him they havea mountain to climb.
I don't think even getting Fedor Vs. Randy can save them from losing a whole bunch of money (Again ) in the UK. Especially as they spent a whole bunch of money on the Press tour with Liddell...
If your looking for big names for the UK who is there. Bisping has just fought, Rampage and Forrest is set for UFC 86, Arlovski hasn't exactly set the world alight over here.
They may just have to resort to the original plan and put Brock lesnar in the main event and hope that they can pull in the WWE crowd. Put him in with Gonzaga or Arlovski and you might have a main event...

This UFC 85 main event just seems to have some kind of injury curse.

They'll pull this one out just like they did for 79 when they got GSP to face Hughes. I don't know what they are going to do yet, but they'll figure out something. Knowing Dana, it'll be Randy vs. Fedor.

if the thiago doesn't go down i suggest Rashad Evans VS. Matt Hamil would be a good fight.

I say either Bump Evans to 84 and fight Thiago Silva, or bring in Matt hammil. I would love to see a fight between Hammil and Evans, although it would most likely have to be free if it was the Main event.
