How's this pan out? I'm hoping to see some good judo, but it could easily turn into a slugfest.
I'm on the ropes in this fight, Nakamura's a vet and could possibly pull off a decision against Soko.

i really think sokou is gonna knock nakamura out, he is a vet true has fought some of the best fighters in the world, but he has lost more of those fights than won. i am hoping to see the real sokou, have him live up to the hype.

I hope he lives up to the hype as well. Not so sure he's going to knock him out, Nakamura has a good chin. I think this has potential FOTN written all over it. But then again it's on the same card as Penn/Sherk.

everyone just wants to see soko get another KO and they dont see this as a big challenge, too bad because its probably his biggest test, nakamura took everything lyoto had and soko crumbled to a lyoto jab before getting choked, i'm calling the upset now, nakamura has fought better and beaten better competition than soko and has the experience advantage, soko better swing frequently and precisely or hes getting submitted or UD'd, maybe even KO'd since his chin isnt that good, (watch the texiera and lyoto fights)

Nakamura Sub 2nd Round or Decision

I want Nakamura to win this one so bad so everyone can realize that Soko is one of the top 10, yes, top 10 OVERrated fighters.

Nakamura is tough, expierienced and may have better judo.
But, Sokoudjou has proved something that nakamura could not, and thats beat a top 5 fighter(arguably). His striking is good enough to probably tko him, wandy style.

After Soko's two victories in pride, I thought that he could be the next big thing at LHW. His first KO I thought OK he caught Nog and that happens. Then he comes out and beats Arona pretty easily. My thoughts are one, Machida is a beast and two, maybe Soko isn't the phenom I thought. I'm anxious to see how he fares against Nakamura and this will tell if he is gonna be a top level fighter.

Machida and Nakamura are 2 completely opposite fighters though... Nakamura is a bruiser, machida never gets hit. Sokoudjou might still have voodoo magic for hands, and machida just was that good. <-Personal Opinion.

Soko lost to Machida, who would beat almost everyone in the 205 division. His other loss was when he had broken hands, and was training to go against a bjj guy. He has 2 KO wins over Nog and Arona.

How exactly is he overrated?

Soko is going to rebound on this fight, with a tko or UD

The difference here is that we don't really know what Sokoudjou is. We know what Nakamura is, and that's a measureing stick. He's not great but he will beat good fighters if they don't bring their A-game. He's a Stephan Bonnar type. Match an up and coming prospect with them and see if they're ready for the big time. My personal opinion is yes, Soko is ready and Nakamura is going to be made an example of. That being said, if Soko is overrated and not what everyone thinks he is it's going to be painfully obvious against a guy like Nakamura.

I think Nakamura will win with his superior judo skills.

Keep in mind that a win is a win and it looks good in your record but a dominant win is something different and IMO that is what you should see while ranking.
I give him credit for the Arona KO only, but a 15 second KO does not tell me how good you are to handle a top opponent ( Note the difference of HANDLE and BEAT) and we already saw this with Machida. I'm not saying his KO over Nog was a fluke or anything, just not enough to tell me how "good" he is.
Also, he is really unexperienced, not even 10 pro fights. I don't buy his hype.

Nakamura is excellent at nuetralizing his opponents strengths... He's got a chin and decent hands... This should be a great fight... Always like to see two judoka's go at it, makes for an interesting style matchup...

If Nakamura can take Shogum to a decision, I don't think that Soko will be able to finish him... And if it's a test of chins... I think Nak's got the upper hand in that department as well...

I'm gonna take Nakamura as the underdog in this fight, a lot of people sleep on his skills
