"This was a great night of fights."

On the Yamma cage:

"This is the new way the sport is going to be."

On the Yamma surface:

"It was thrilling that it worked."

On how he will keep going financially on PPV revenue:

"We saw two stars created tonight. Travis Wiuff was Chris Tuscherer were unbelievable."

On holding an event full of 40 year olds:
"I want to build the new stars."

On when he sold the UFC:
"There have been almost no stars created since."

-- Yamma CEO Bob Meyrowitz is inteviewed by Sherdog.com's Greg Savage after Yamma's inaugural event Friday evening.

As im sure most of you can already tell some werent the originall question, But what the hell is he thinking, The new surface worked out perfectly, if anything is just enhanced what they dont wanted to happen, with that slope i makes it incredibly easy to get a double leg takedown as you might have noticed, and its almost impossible to defend Takedown......What kind of crak is Meyrowitz???? i might just try some myself

I was at the event on the floor level and when it went to the ground we had to watch on the screen because the sides hid the fighters and I can't stress enough how much the event SUCKED!!!!. Maybe I was at the fake show and the one Bob saw was down the street at another casino on another planet.

I was gonna put the over/under of another YAMMA at .5 but then realized nobody would take the over.

They said at the event that they have one planned for June or July with a middle weight tournament. Im not quite sure if it will ever happen but i would say the odds are good that they will put one more together before flopping.

I have one word to describe Mr. Meyrowitz.

Delusional

The kickboxer commentator filled me with rage every time he opened his damn yap. He had nothing good to say, ever. Beck and Blatnik although not bad individually simply don't know MMA well enough to pull it off. They make Goldberg sound like an expert.

I expected the show to be crappy, but more like Bodog crappy where you still get some intense fights even though the quality of competition is poop. This was horrible on so many levels and even as much as I love MMA it was really hard to watch as it made me feel embarassed for the sport.

I ordered this event on PPV i will tell you one thing......I was the biggest waste of $35 dollars i have ever spent. it was so bad i almost had to change the channel even though i perchased the event.....I outer ring is a horrible idea...they say it keeps the action going, but it did the exact opposite and forced fighters to go to the ground once they hit that outer edge....Personally i think one of the most exciting aspects of MMA is the clinch and being against the Cage and throwing elbows and knees (Anderson Silva) so i dont know what they were thinking and if they keep the outer edge in the ring this promotion is going nowhere.......

yamma is a joke the only way the could save themselves is with a good light or welterwight card with mabye some fighters like franca, yves edwards, and other somwhat faded out stars that are actually still in shape and have good skills but even then i d bet it would fail
