After posting his fourth straight submission victory in the UFC at UFC Fight Night 13, lightweight Nate Diaz (9-2 MMA, 4-0 UFC) has been mentioned as a possible opponent for many of the division's top contenders. Diaz, however, is only interested in one of them: former cast mate Manny Gamburyan (8-2 MMA, 2-1 UFC).
"The UFC decides that for me," Diaz said regarding his next opponent. "Manny (Gamburyan) wants to fight me. But you know what? I want to fight him too just as much."
"I don't like them," Diaz said bluntly. "I don't mean nothing bad to anyone else in the sport. Everybody's just trying to make their money and fight their fights and do their thing, just like I am. But those guys? F*** them. They're cocky, they talk s***, and they want to act tough. But when they're by themselves, they try to say 'What's up,' you know... I'm like, 'We're not friends, dude.'"

Nate is in the right on this situation. Manny seems like a good guy but Karo thinks he's god's gift to the human race. Anytime someone says "Do you know who I am?" means they need a beating. I used to respect Karo but the more I hear him talk in interviews the more I hope someone crushes him.

maybe i read the article wrong but to me he's saying that he will fight manny if that's who the ufc gives him, he dosent care who he fights next, not that he's calling manny out. Has a very misleading title

I'm not really interested in this fight. I would rather see Diaz fight some more talented and seasoned fighters. IMO he is a better fighter than Manvel and the UFC needs to show us more of him against maybe Joe Lauzon or Clay Guida.

I gotta give it to the Anvil. I really think he would have won if it wasn't for his shoulder.

Diaz does say he'll fight anyone but he says he wants to fight manvil as much as manvil wants to fight him, and if you listen to manvel talk...that's all he talks about.
I think they should let the Diaz - Griffin fight go down, in the meanwhile Manny needs to fight someone decent two early first round submissions means they need to give him an upgrade in quality. Gamburyan should fight a top 15 guy while Diaz fights Griffin and then the two should ger their rematch
I think if they fought right now Manny wins cause he's a bad matchup for Diaz, his limbs just seem too short and he looks too strong to be submitted so my guess would be he would overpower Nate to a decision - which is what i think he was going to do when they fought the first time - but anything can happen

still not a very interesting fight. I would rather see Diaz fight Clay Guida and Gamburyan fight Gray Maynard or Josh Neer.
