UFC Fighter and all-round entertainer, Clay Guida recently bounced back into the spotlight with a quick victory of Samy Shiavo, eclipsing memories of his previous loss to Roger Huerta.

With bold ambitions and a training regime to match, Clay took the time to speak to Ironlife.com about his career and the possibility of one day fighting for the UFC Lightweight title.

How did your fight go with Frenchman, Samy Shiavo?

Guida puts on good fights, and is a tough dude. I just do not think he could hang with BJ at this point. BJ by triangle 2nd round.

Is it really news that somone wants to fight the title holder? Everyone wants to.
Clay is one of my favorite fighters. he brings it everytime. However, I think BJ would beat him, and even though Clay is fun to watch, he has a lackluster record in the UFC and doesnt seserve a title fight.

In my opinion Guida has a chance with anyone in the lightweight division, I know he has had some crappy luck but he will be a contender for the belt very soon. But win or lose the guy is one of my favorite guys to watch, he has yet to have a boring fight. The guy just kicks ass lets leave it at that!

a bj would crush him but thats nothing 2 be sad about he would crush neone at 155 ... and he would win rear naked choke 1st round not triangle cuz a triangle would mean hes on his back and i dont see guida getting him there

I hate Guida! I enjoy watching him fight due to his scrappiness, but I hope he loses every fight. But if Tito or MacDonald or Karo called out the champ people would be trashing them.

Why does Guida get a pass?

I like Clay Guida alot. Roger Huerta is a badass, and it was a respectable lose. I would like to see the two of them fight again, and the winner fights Penn. This of course is after Penn beats roid pumpin Shan Sherk. I like Penn, but if he was against Guida or Huerta I would be excited either way.

Because Tito and Karo did nothing but bitch about how good they were and how much they deserve it. Guida is game to fight anyone and win or lose it is exciting. I havent seen an exciting Tito or Karo fight in a long time.

Guida is an entertaining fighter but you can't deny cold hard statistics. he is 3-3 in the UFC granted his losses were close they are still losses. it is hard to talk about facing the #1 LW in the world when you have a .500 record in the UFC. he would need to beat Huerta in a rematch, beat Tyson or Florian and then maybe he could start talking about BJ. right now his concern should be getting a winning record in the UFC, not facing the champion(if he beats Sherk).

If this fight happened i have to go with Pookie who has shown me the way of the Penn and say BJ gets the RNC in the 3rd.

I'll say this, if anyone is going to push BJ's cardio it's Clay Guida. Who knows right? Stranger things have happened.

like i've said before i think guida can roll with anyone at 155 in the world. i'm not saying he could beat penn but he would give bj the fight of his life.
