Does Kenny Florian deserve another opportunity at the UFC Lightweight Championship? Does Fedor deserve two million dollars per fight? Does Cung Le deserve to be ranked amongst the world's best Middleweights? Those things and more as Dustin James and Lotfi Sariahmed draw swords and prepare to do battle!

ken flo a title shot, no. he knows he doesnt want one because he wants to beat huerta so he is the clear #1 contender

fedor 2 mil per fight, no wonder he hasnt fought much, i dont believe he is that good worth that much, like wtf is this a boxing match. Elitexc isnt that big yet to pay him that

I still dont consider cung le top 10, but then i guess i kinda do cus he has a title. he needs to fight biggers names now so see if he's for real.

Yes karo is out of shape, but still seems to get the job done, dont gas out much. But i think karo could be a lot of stronger, if he trained for fights and lifted weights.

Fedor Demanding $2M/fight?

"Who cares? I can't. This whole situation is absurd. He signed with M-1, he didn't. His management team is screwing him, no it's not. UFC offered him the most money but he doesn't care. Dana White's lying in this whole thing. Gary Shaw is lying in this whole thing. Mark Cuban is lying in this whole thing. And whatever other head of an MMA promotion you want to name is lying in this whole thing as well. On top of that, Fedor Emelianenko and his management are lying in this whole thing. I'm emotionally spent on this debacle. Wake me up when he ACTUALLY signs somewhere. "

Could not have said it better myself.

BTW.. Dustin James' comment about Nebraska was pretty piss poor. Never watched the college world series or heard of Warren Buffet?

Totally off topic but... Warrent Buffet's the guy who just recently beat Bill Gates out of being the richest man on the planet. Buffet #1, Gates #2

Oh and btw, your article is dated from 2006 so you have now been corrected

It's not the first time someone has surpassed him...I think it's just the first time that someone slipped past him when forbes does their list...fluctuations in the stock market can cause these changes overnight.

Looks like Gates is actually #3 though.

Topic #1 Yawn. Same old song and dance.

Topic #2 I will never complain about a fighters compensational demands as long as said fighters aren't getting 50% of the GROSS revenue. This is the best way to know how much the talent in a sport should be getting. The NFL players currently get 60% of gross revenue.
Fedors demands may be extreme for Elite, but in reference to UFC $2 million per fight is very resonable.
UFC pays like 4% of gross to the talent and that is outrageous.

Also Affliction is putting on a show with unquestionably the best heavyweights in the world. They can now say they have the best fighters in the world. Not top to bottom in all weight classes but they can say they have the baddest man alive.

Topic #3 No he isn't. If he beat a top 10 fighter ok, but Frank wasn't on any top list of worth. Cung maybe a top fighter but he won't be ranked as such until he proves it against a ranked opponent.

Topic #4 Houston is not a true MMA fighter, thank god he lost. I can't wait till he is out of the UFC.

Topic #5 Hey Karo 4 years ago you could get by on talent, now you need the whole package. Sad because Karo has the potential to be an all time great.

Topic#6 Sounds good, build up the sacrificial Kenflo to be eaten by the BJ Penn monster.

i really think kenny vs roger for next title fight, and fedor might not be worth 2 mill a fight i don't think any one would pay that besides maybe dream in japan, he needs to lower his offer

1 Kenny vs Huerta for #1 contender status. I think everyone can agree on that.

2 You're worth as much as you can negotiate.

3 Absolutely not. Beating one guy who might be ranked 9 or 10 if you're being generous does not make you a top 10 guy. Call me when he beats 2 more guys I've heard of.
